I downloaded this file and thaks to slickinator for the walk through. however the programme does not let me join avi files, it joines mpeg files with no problems. but when i select the avi file it says " the format of the file cant be recognised. any ideas slickinator? "

Followed the SUPERB instructions for the setup, but having the same problem as venom81 with the avi files??? I have clicked on the link for the codecs www.cole2k.net, fine, but what codec do I look for to install. Can anyone please help, Im confused????

For some reason I have a problem. Any AVI file I add returns error [path][filename.avi]can't be recognized! All those AVI's I can play in Media player with no problems. Tried uninstall and install, did not help.

Only later on I have read earlie comments about the codec, even thou I had a very recent one it was not as good as the one mentioned. Downloaded installed and all is good.

I have experience with this program and it ****s. Want to know why??? The reason it ****s is because when every I want to join to AVI files together to make one AVI file, it will take about a half an hour for a 2 hour movie and when it is done the pixels for the movie start to melt together. Also, there is some green that shows up on all the pixels for about a couple of seconds. I advise you guys that if you want it done right then you are going to have to wait awhile, in my case more than just a half an hour (about the same amount of time as the movie or more for better quality). Luck for you guys I found a program prefect for this and it is TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress. This program cost about $100, but thanks to bittorrents (a.k.a torrents) you guys can get it for free when applying the crack.
