um.. is it just me.. or do the cutscenes and everything not work for anyone else?.. i have no sound playing..

Pretty good, the game definately works. Alot of the speach files are missing and/or not working, and the game quirks out when you ask the Nubian Boy to get the shining thing across the rail for you. However I do remember my old purchased version of this game did the same thing.

I can't get it to work. When I ask it to start a new game, it loads part way and then crashes. Am I doing something wrong?

Can't get mine to work either, it does the same thing. the system check says the DirectX folder cannot be found but then it won't let me install it either.

Yeah I can't get mine to work either. I click start new game and then it crashes and say somethings wrong with the Indy3d.exe. Its a shame looks like a good game. Any suggestions would be kindly appreciated.

Hi folks well the game is very nice played the demo years ago however it's old and wasn't designed to work on Windows XP after running setupreg.exe right click on the jones3d.exe disable visual themes and set compatibility mode to 98 or 95 this should help because game works fine on my old 98SE box.

I got my hands on Windows XP box so here's a solution: unpack, open game folder, run setupreg.exe, now right-click jones3d.exe, switch to compatibility page and: leave "compatibility mode" and "run in 256 colors" UNCHECKED, now make CHECKED rest that means "run in 640x480", "disable visual themes" and "advanced text funcions" - only this combination makes game run properly on XP, other fail, deducted this on trail and error method :P

You guys really don't get it working? Just unpack it and go to resourses and try indy3d and it should work. Jones3d dont work. in game there is many bugs like when u stard map it shows only sky, but indy is moving, then just go options display options and press ok that should get camera back to indy. And press F5 almost every 5minutes, it saves your progres to autosave and you dont lost your game. I hope it helpd you guys ;) i have played it 2 times and its just so good game and i want u guys get good gaming times. Srry my bad english im from fin.

I found this game to not work in Xp. I will be interested in finding out if it works onn *buntu Hardy (linux) through Wine. If it does then will have a hearty laugh, not at you, but with you.

There is a way to get this working in WindowsXP, simply open Window Media Player before starting the game.

it's not work on xp i do as i had read in here properties set to 95 or 98 disabel to 256 colors and put the resolution to 640x480 run setupdreg exe. then click on indi exe setup an everything go in black if i not do those thing and tray to run install it's tell me there is a file missing and can not find cd1 i have extract everything and maybe will delete the program i'm not sure jet...
