Wow. This torrent has got to be the biggest load of horseshit I've ever seen since ?the holocaust never happened? posts. Jack, I agree. It is important to bring to light some faults in a church that proselytises via coercion and fear. They breed their numbers and isolate their young from other religious viewpoints by holding youth social events that clog the childs schedule. they hold fast to their corrupted theology by proclaiming a man "prophet" and giving immense power to the bishops. They attempt to make their men into Gods and their women into objects for procreation. Polygamy was only outlawed on condition of statehood, fyi.

U can take any topic and make it appear wrong if u wanted to, whether its only given part of a quote, or giving sumfin out off context. As for a lot of the stuff he says about, BOTANICAL PROBLEMS, or ZOOILOGICAL PROBLEMS etc, i make the simple point, was he there, i wld say without a doubt we dnt know everything about everything that exists or has existed, who is to say that there was definatly none of a species of animal in a country or area at a certain time. clearwolf is entirely right. and to stamp out what little worthy opposition there might have been, I know quite a few mormons, and can tell you that most of this propaganda isn't twisted truth, it's a flat lie. Please keep in mind this and the fact that most anti-mormons statements are at best only distantly applicable when you read this. Theres no question of "but is it true?". Mormons aren't even sexist. They have positions that each sex can fill individually. their roles are no more important than anyone else's. There's plenty of more persuasive arguments FOR mormons than against them.

Well I hope that no Mormon supporter is black because the Mormons used to teach that the Black Race was inferior. I guess they ditched that idea for obvious reasons. ...Well, I have to give credit to the mormon faith. Without it, I would have never learned that my skin is brown because my ancestors (who did not come from Asia, but rather an Israeli tribe) did not accept the teachings of Christ and therefore I am cursed with a "skin of blackness" for behold...I am a Lamanite. So says 2 Nephi 5:21 and many other passages. Though this torrent should be enjoyable. It's always fun to listen to people fight about which god is better or true.

mormons - ? have you literally lost your minds . if you want to join some cult that makes people oppressed and under religious law , why not try one thats more fun ? - i have heard that the 7th day adventists are quite good these days , and some scientologists are quite cool . may as well make the best of it , as you presently have no salvation whatsoever . on a slightly more theological note - please dont give your church 10 percent of your income , as that is a jewish system from the old testament - tithes and other offerings were used for childrens education , helping the poor , and a whole host of rather useful causes - i bet your leaders just pocket the lot - am i telling the truth ? - ask your leaders - how much is there house worth ? haha, i wish some of you douche bags(husshuss) would do some research before writing things you know NOTHING of. and just for the record. the leaders of the church are all extremely intelligent people. one of them is was a freakin rocket scientist. another was an engineer of sorts. they may have big houses and whatnot. but is has nothing to do with their positions in the LDS church. many things are not true in this "essey". ive researched it myself through many sources. and it sickens me that you people can sit there and tear something down you know NOTHING about. its sad you guys have nothing better to do than tear down poeple and a whole religion that you have only heard rumors about... get a life. and just for the record..... the church has NEVER looked at blacks as inferior. and, like i said, do some research please. joseph smith (the first prophet of the LDS church) sold his horse (worth alot, most people didnt have money, but livestock and the like. he didnt have alot either) so that a former slave could buy his family out of slavery. so please get the facts straight before you open your bit mouths.

its obsurd to say they pocket all that money. that money goes towards many important and helpfull causes. the LDS church has the most successfull food distribution systems EVER. they are constantly lending aid where it is needed. and not just to those who are members of the church. but ANYONE who is in need. even if you dont agree with what they believe, it is hard not to give them props for all the good works they perform. they are constantly using their funds for good. once again, do some research before you sit there and critacise them for doing things you are far too selfish to even consider doing. take a look at how close minded you really are. how quick you are to bring something down you have failed to get the facts straight on. seriously.

One time, or so I heard, there was this guy who had a dream that he was in a court room and he didn't have a lawyer, and he was being tried about his life. And the prosecuting attorney, or so the story goes, was this genius. And he spoke with such eloquence that the man stood convicted on every side. It was all true what the prosecutor said about him; every despicable thing he ever did, every lying evil word he ever said was exposed and there was a sick and unanimous feeling in the air of the whole court room, even within the opinion of the man himself, that he was guilty and that justice would define him as condemned and unworthy of anything good ever again, so eloquent were the words spoken by this genius nightmare for a prosecutor. Then, according to the story I heard, suddenly there was another man who entered the room claiming that he was to be the defense attorney; that justice also awarded everyman at least that. And he began speaking on behalf of the man with such logic, that his words began tearing apart that sick feeling in the air. Point by point he attacked the facts with an eloquence even greater than that of the prosecutor. And after he had devastated the arguments, and justified his every fault, he went on to tell story after story of the great things this man had done. And it went on for days there were so many stories to be told. And at the end of all the stories the air in the courtroom was changed and he was suddenly justified in being a human being. I saw the movie Gondi for the first time the other night and in the movie he was asked, what religion are you? And he answered, "I am Hindu, I am Muslim, I am a Jew and a Christian..." and I would go on to say that I am Catholic, I am Mormon, I am Born Again... The only thing I am not is anti anything. Ask yourselves this, who was the prosecutor, and who was the defense attorney in that story? And which side of the law do you stand? Behind which table do you sit? Which lawyer do you speak like most, and by this you will know who is the real master of the one speaking. Peace be to everyone. Love you guys for your convictions. Good night!
