 In 1960s America experienced the boom in gothic horror TV shows and series. Dark Shadows became one of the most popular series of its kind which had been produced for five years while the number of episodes still makes the film one of the leaders in the market of such-like soap operas. In 2010 it was decided to make a movie of the same name telling almost the same story. As always Tim Burton one of the darkest directors in the history of film-making, offered his favorite actor Johnny Depp to take part in the film. And here he is, a powerful and handsome Barnabas Collins, the owner of a huge estate Collinwood. Barnabas is a true womanizer and breaks every heart in the surrounding territory. However, once he comes across the wrong person whose name is Angelica Boshar. He desperately falls in love with Mr. Collins who plays and breaks up with her. But, she is not that simple; she is a real witch and dooms his existence into eternal torment making him a vampire not able to die. Two centuries later Barnabas Collins is accidentally brought into existence and what he sees? Only miserable remaining of his beautiful estate and the same miserable descendants who don’t look much better than his ancient estate and have lots of family skeletons.
