For those who only see the options-menu available at the main menu: The reason why this is happening, is because the game won't recognice the CD (or you haven't inserted it in the CD drive). I'm GUESSING that the game won't recognise the CD image, if it's in the virtual drive. So if you burn the CD and then insert it to your real CD/DVD-drive, the game will recognise the CD and you can play the game. I haven't tried if this is possible, but I will try it as soon as I buy more empty CDs.

It must be burnt to disc in order to work and your disc drive has to be D: (you can change your drive letter in xp under control panel>performance and maintainable>administrative tools>computer management<disk management>right click on drive>change drive letter. Also all exe files on the disk must be set to run in 98/me compatibility mode (right click on files and use compatibility tab. oh, also, in order to be run, you have to open setup.exe and reinstall the game every time it is run, or an error message will occur

Question. I have downloaded the sonic r and I don't know what type of program to use to open sonic r. Can someone instruct me step by step what type of program I need to load sonic r and what they have done to get it to work? This would greatly be appreciated!!

Ahh, I lost my original copy, and didn't think there would be one here, thank you so much! and to those people who the options sometimes don't work, that happened to me with the original game sometimes too, every time i tried to run it on a different computer. if i remember how i fixed it, i'll post it. THANKS SEEDERS

Cool, I got it downloaded and will seed. I just dont know how to play the game...there is only one option in the game and that is options.
