A Previous Engagement

American Julia and Frenchman Alex have met in Malta and gave each other a promise someday ever return here. And now, after 25 years, Julia has persuaded her husband Jack to spend their holidays on this Mediterranean island under the pretext of second honeymoon. Dull and everything doing right Jack - the opposite of ardent romantic Alex, which Julie did not stop to think all these years. However, the trip surprises... “A previous engagement” is unpretentious comedy with a very primitive plot: family, life, old love, jealousy and all the cases. Nothing in particular. As for humor, there are some funny moments, but they will not lie about you on the floor with laughter, all very common. The film seems to be very lengthy, so it looks a little boring. The impression is that the picture is about "long meeting" and designed for a more adult audience: movie for our mothers, burdened with everyday life. Unknown and totally lackluster actors do not add to the movie special charm… well everyone may find something interesting in this film.
