 This brilliant European film is not a thriller or a horror but it make you shiver with each of your bone and hair imagining the situation which is performed in the film. The director of the film David Mackenzie made perfect work and managed to communicate every piece of the idea which is portrayed in the film while perfect casting made this film even more attractive. Michael is a chef in the restaurant and Susan is a scientist working in a laboratory. Shortly after they meet they fall in love with each other; however, their romance soon turns into dramatic disaster since a mysterious infection affects the whole population of the planet. The infectious disease affects senses; first of all they lose the sense of smell, after that the taste. However, people still go to restaurants where they keep eating all these delicious courses but they don’t feel anything. The film shows people’s ability to adapt to the current situation and make some substitutions of what they used to have. The loss of each sense is preceded by the hysteria, like when people were about to lose taste they ate everything they saw around them. However, the most dreadful loses were to become: those were hearing and seeing…
