The American channel "HBO" doesn’t tire of quality TV shows. The Wire – at the first glance is "cheap" TV series. There are no rich decorations and cops driving around in sports cars. But, there is something special and natural in it, that gathers fans all over the world. The series "The Wire" tells about the latest technologies used in the surveillance of suspects in crimes. The port city of Baltimore wave of crime and drug trafficking. The last straw was the gangster mayhem trial of a drug dealer Di'Anjelo Barksdale, nephew of Avon Barksdale mafia chief. Di'Anjelo accused of murder, but because the judicial system corrupt lawyer Barksdale wins the case, and the perpetrator returns on freedom. No longer willing to tolerate this situation, the police of the city decided to create a special unit headed by Detective Jimmy McNulty, who with the help of hidden cameras and listening tools able to provide any evidence of illegal activity of Barksdale clan. The main roles in the film "The Wire" have performed Dominic West ("Ten Minutes Older: The Cello") and Wendell Pierce ("Lost").
