Hiya! I just downloaded this game and using Daemon Tools to install the game, but whenever I try to burn disc 3, it won't work. You mentioned something in your comments about re-downloading a disc if it doesn't work, but how do I do that? Do I have to re-download the whole torrent? That would just make me sad 8'( Please respond ASAP. I REALLY wanna play this game. And thanks for making it available to us 8D

(continue from the one above) Nevermind, I figured it out. But for some reason, no matter HOW MANY TIMES I redownload Disk 5, it just won't work... And also, whenever I try to install, it gives me an error about a missing file. What do I do about that?

Install: 1. Using PowerISO Mount Disk 1 and install using setup 2. You will be asked to insert disk 2, simply mount disk to and click ok, the installation should continue. continue this process until the game is installed. 3. A desktop icon will now be available on your desktop but first you must copy the crack file from the crack folder to something like C:ProgramFiles/Konami/Silent Hill 4. Start The Game From The Desktop (This Process worked for me using Vista Ultimate 32bit. it should work with xp)

I tried running Silent Hill 2 on my laptop, but the game didn't seem to like dual-core for some reason, and it was really slow and choppy. It crashed once and then gave me an error message saying "Attempting to run in safe visual settings" or something along those lines. When I put it on my desktop (which is single core and more powerful) it worked fine. Oddly enough, though, this SH3 torrent installs just fine but gives me the same kind of slowness and menu fuckup that SH2 gave my laptop. I'll try reinstalling it. If that magically fixes it, I'll post again, but if not, I'd like some advice.

I have a problem! I installed the game and was playing it but then I stopped for like 2 months. Now I want to play again but when I click the icon on the desktop it says "Game not installed properly". What the ****? Can someone please tell me what's going on? Or did I forget something? Thanks!

bezerk87 there are many reason why it says that it wasn't installed properly:virus infection,if you used system restore,program interfiring with the game and many more the solution is to reinstall it...

PART TWO : Next, open Silent Hill 3.msi in Orca, and navigate to the Media tab on the left. On the right you’ll have over 40 rows to of entries. In the cabinet column, there are 2 “sound_3.cab”’s, on listed one disc 4 and one on disc 5. Rename the one on disc 5 to “sound_32.cab”, so now during install it will use the file you renamed earlier. Next, change every entry under Volume Label to disc1. Save the file and close Orca. I also made a new subfolder called Crack and stuck my nocd patch in it. Then I burned all the contents of the Silent Hill 3 folder to DVD with Nero, with the label disc1. You’ll need to manually copy the cracked.exe in to the install dir order to play the game.

a solution for the **** "sound_3.cab" PART ONE : Original Poster: Lumpa Post Date: 10-09-2005 First, create a folder on your hard drive called Silent Hill 3. Then start by copying all the contents of discs 1-4 into the main folder. Then copy all the contents of disc 5 except “sound_3.cab” into the main folder. For the “sound_3.cab” file, copy it to any other folder, then rename it to “sound_32.cab”, and move that file into your Silent Hill 3 folder. The reason for this is that both disc 4 and disc 5 have files called “ sound_3.cab”, so to use both without overwriting either one, I renamed the second one, and then edited the .msi accordingly. [As follows]

The game does not work , this error appears when installing and trying to insert the other disks did not work . Only uses the disk 1 and 2, nothing else, the game is not completed .

I works. download daemon tools lite at http://www.daemon-tools.cc/ after you download the game open daemon tools and right click on the lightning bolt symbol next to the time. go to virtual CD/DVD-ROM and go to device 1 then mount image click on disk 1 for the game and start installing it when it says insert disk 2 do the same above but use disk 2 repeat until you get to disk 5 after the game is installed you mount disk 1 the click on the shortcut and start playing after that you can ignore disks 2-5 but you must have disk one mounted every time you start playing.

I can mount this crack with the 1º iso with magic iso and burn with the crack inside if isn't there the crack?? i don't want to loose one cd just for a crack humm??? Because PS2 games need order and PC games ?? I have Age of empires 3 and has one crack into the first cd.
