'Killing Bono' is het verhaal van twee uiteenlopende levens. Wanneer Bono en zijn band U2 afstevenen op wereldberoemdheid bewandelt zijn schoolvriend Neil McCormick het tegenovergestelde pad. Slechte drugs, vreemde sex, bizarre kapsels, Neil heeft het allemaal meegemaakt tijdens zijn zoektocht naar roem. Maar soms hebben de grootste mislukkelingen de meest interessante verhalen te vertellen. "Het probleem van jou kennen is dat jij alles gedaan hebt wat ik altijd had willen doen," klaagde Neil ooit tegenover zijn beroemde vriend. "Ik ben jouw dubbelganger," antwoordde Bono. Killing Bono

Two hapless Irishmen brothers Neil and Ivan McCormick in the late '70s created a group in Dublin. Unfortunately for the boys, their classmates did the same thing - created a group and called it U2. As you know, the brothers had not chances. The film is incredibly touching and sincere, tells the true story of almost now a well-known music critic Neil McCormick, a man with incredible determination and great life experience, who has later wrote biographic book, which first appeared under the title "I was Bono double", which became the basis for a picture of Nick Hamm, director, who managed to shoot the very real and pure Irish film, great comedy with an ironic and incredibly subtle Irish humor, full of genuine drama and a storm of a variety of emotions.
