This is NOT MCE 2005, but rather 2004. Thus, it will NOT work with Xbox 360. Also, the Crack does not work.

Windows can be installed on a 360 through linux if you have an older kernal and linux installed already.

Virus scanner is picking up a virus in the crack folder, but since I'm using it with a legitimate CD key, I'm just going to leave out the CRACK folder when I burn it to be on the safe side.

For people who are getting this to use with their xbox to stream video and songs, you do not need media center! Just use media player 11 and share with your xbox on ethernet. I went through 2 complete new installs before i found this out and went back to xp pro.

Burned dvd lickity split. Attempted to install on hp laptop, and after initial mce load and first reboot, kept hitting a cylinder read error, and couldn't proceed. Reinstalled xp pro sp2 no probs. Hard drive is good. boo...

I downloaded and burned this iso it works fine. It is bootable and it gives you the option to install XP Pro or Media Center. I went with Media Center it works however it is MEDIA CENTER 2002 NOT 2005.

Yes antivirus will alert on trojan on the crack but I notice it alerts me on all the cracks Ive used with no problems for the 2 years.

The Windows XP Media Centre image works great. Note though that they included WPA crack in the CRACK folder is infected with a virus, so don't use their WPA_KILL.EXE file - find another on the net!
