I actually installed the game step by step by the way scoolkid wrote (thanks a lot mate). After installing it, it worked totally fine, (the only thing you have to keep in mind is that you downloaded the newest graphic etc. drivers) but then a friend of mine downloaded this torrent, too and actually patched it, which i did not. Nowadays, if i want to patch the game too, it just keeps me telling that i have "unknown patch version" and that i need "version xxx)at least. So are there any chances to patch the game or to import the old character into the (then reinstalled) patched game? Please help me, my character's now lvl 17 and it actually cost me a lot of "blood, sweat and tears" to drive him this far all the way down to knossos.

Alright so I installed everything and got it working, but it kept crashing at the same point over and over. So I just borrowed a friend's CD and installed it that way. But now I can't even get the game to start up, like when I click on the .exe file nothing happens at all. Schoolkiddi3, is there something I did that I need to undo in your directions to get this to work? Possibly that .mds file w/ the dos prompt box.

ONLINE PROBLEM I try to go to multiplayer, and I download the update to 100% and recieve an error saying the .exe is already running. The game then crashes, exits, and nothing changes, I can't get onto multiplayer. Any ideas?

This is how Titan Quest Work for me 1. Download it 2. extract the iso file (PowerISO / Daemon Tools) 3. Manually Update The game to v1.30 or 1.40 (dont remember) 4. Go To GameCopyWorld.com 5. Search up Titan quest 1.30/40 No CD.exe 6. Play!

DOwnloaded, Mounted with daemon tools and installed. Did get an error saying there was no d3dx9_27.dll, which I had to copy from the directx folder on the mounted iso. People saying its not working its one of two things. #1 you have something wrong with windows, #2 you dont know how to do it. Ill go along with #2. I have a intel pentium D 805 running at 2.66ghz, 1.5g ram and a pny geforce5200 w/ 128mb ram. The game is choppy as hell, and i Didnt get it to fully load. Either it froze or it takes over 10 minutes. So far not impressed. Anyone know what version of the game this is. So I can try and Patch it???

For those of you saying you cant update, do not crack the game. Try updating in-game, if it fails, because your version is "UNKNOWN", search your "My Documents" files for the Titan Quest folder (where your saved games are at, at the "My Games" folder), the update should be there if you tried updating in-game. It's the TitanQuest1_30.exe one, double click (WARNING: YOUR GAME MUST NOT BE CRACKED, IT SHOULD BE THE WAY IT IS DURING INSTALLATION!!!) and wait for it to finish. After updating, again, DO NOT CRACK, do not download any shty cracked exe from any site, all you'll get are trojans and spyware crp, for the main reason that you CAN play the game without cracking it... that is, after updating. All you have to do is mount the Titan Quest ISO on any virtual drive before playing. Updating to 1.30 also fixes the crash bug everyone is complaining about... That's all... after about 2 years, people still bug me about how to make this thing work... I hope this will put an end to that...

Okay check this out because I shall type this only once. I found a flawless way to play the game. Steps are from scratch and detailed: 1)Unrar(extract) one of the rld-tiqu.rar files you downloaded to a "New" Folder (the file inside the rld-tiqu.rar file I am talking about should be called rld-tiq.iso (Basically the ISO file heh) 2)After you extract that ISO file... you then will need to extract the contents of that ISO file into -another- "New" Folder.(This is basically the set up files) 3)You will notice there is a Folder that extracted from that ISO called "Crack" -> Do Not Use that File - (DELETE IT) 4)Install Daemon Tools Version 4.03 (you might need to restart your PC as you prepare to install Daemon Tools which is fine. 5)"After" you install Daemon Tools version 4.03 - you will need to mount the ISO image. It is the file rld-tiqu.iso you extracted earlier remember? Still with me? ok......

Whoops, spoke too soon. It does keep crashing on my system. Probably the graphics card so not much i can do about it. Anyway I've found a work around. Go to the games folder/titan quest in my document and save it periodically. If the game does crash and cannot continue at least you have a backup of your last save and then you can copy paste it over and you can continue and play from the lasy save point. It's a pain but it is the best I can do for now.

Everything worked for me but game crashed after a while, that game became inaccessible afterwords. I started a new game but it crashed at the same exact place. It might be a hardware problem of mine but unlikely as my system is two weeks old with all the latest drivers installed. I like this game, thanks uploader! As a result I got the game on eBay for less than $5, I'm sure it will work fine. GTX 260 896MB, Intel CoreDUO 3.00GHz, 3.25GB RAM.

Got the game. Played about halfway through. Then something messes up and it wouldn't let me start it up anymore. Tried to update the patch but couldn't because I already overwrote the .exe with the crack. Couldn't get the original .exe from the .iso without installing the game again because it wouldn't let me install it twice. So I had to uninstall the game hoping my character would remain after reinstall. Got the 1.30 patch, reinstalled the game and applied the patch. Got the 1.30 NO/DVD crack from Gamecopyworld and applied it. Game works again for now. Don't overwrite the original .exe, cut/paste the original somewhere else so you can use it again if need be. Patch to 1.30 before playing.

I just finished downloading this. CRC error when unzipping. Is it "poisoned" or something? I have also got corrupted files from Dungeon Siege 2: Broken World 4 times already with different trackers. All from mininova. http://slashdot.org/articles/05/09/26/0540248.shtml?tid=95&tid=1

Spyke_Cu: Some AGP cards can play the game, but only the higher end AGP cards, I can run Titan quest on my Radeon X800 256mb, its PCI-E, and it was like $35. but what kind of agp card is it ?

FIFTH: Before you crack it!, go to http://info2.thq.com/support/ to download the patch. Its only like 10mb or something. You must select the Patch that says 1.01(orignal version) to 1.30r2(new version that dosent crash!) SIXTH: After you have replaced the old Titanquest.exe with the new one, you get the NO-CD crack. Which lets you play the game without a CD. http://www.gameburnworld.com/dl/dl.php?file=TitanQuestv1.30NoDVDFixedexeEng.rar that link goes straight to the NoCD for the version 1.30 which u updated it to. SEVEN: Cross the fingers (as i did) double click the .exe (with ur fingers crossed somehow) and play the game!! WOO. Its a Mad game. I made it as detailed as possible lol, obviously. anyways enjoy im gonna go play it now =P cya!

YAY!! It works guys, what ever anyone says dont listen it works! Im on lvl 5 owning, its fun as lol. ok heres what u have to do. FIRST: Download the game (believe it or not u have to dl it) SECOND: Extract the .iso into a folder. I just used winzip lol and extracted it all into a new folder called Titans Quest. THIRD: Open the "setup.exe" install it where ever. I have a problem I installed the game just like scoolkiddi3 said (thx btw ) and I can play the game. It still crashes about once every hour, but that could be because of my weak comp. Anyway Im now in the upper war-camp area, and every time I walk up to the cave where the medusas are the game crashes. I tried lowering the graphics but nothing helps can anyone help?
