When i enter the CD key i get the message "The disc key you entered does not correspend to the disc in the drive, Make sure you use the correct disc key" Im entering the key exactly as it appears on the back cover. Any ideas why this might be happening?

okej this is what i did and its works perfect 1.download and mount with deamon tools..or burn 2.install 3.get two crack from gamecopyworld..search for colin mcrae 2005 4.paste the cracks/files in to your game folder 5.Play sry for bad english..my native language is swedish hope it helped

To andy2j and anyone with the same problems: Download "Colin McRae 2005 patch_crack_fix". That will fool the protection system in the game. Put the cd key thats in the readme. The patch can be found in TorrentSpy. To felipebdec: I think that is because your video card is not compatible or not able to play the game. Check the Minimum Required Specs in the game box.

Hi DrZaius your card a Geforce 4 Mx4000 besides the number (4) is a geforce 2 mx with a little improvement so reading the system requirements it is probably that you cant run the game with your card. PS: sorry my english , my native language is Spanish =) . good luck

i found the readme file and try some debug codes to start the game. i only could get start with the "safemode" parameter. into the game, i've configurated my video and controls, then i've start it again trying to discover wich parameter i need to start with sound (safemode = novideo + nosound + resetdisplay + forceclipping) finding some information in forums, i found that the "novideo" option made may people's game works. ok, let's try. yeah! it works!!! played one "quick race" game and started the championship, but the game freezes with an windows error at car select menu started the game again and play the two first races of championship mode. at the first stop to repair the car, the game freezes again (and again and again )

my history: downloaded this torrent (1 month of download ) installed with an spanish menu (thinking: wtf?!) used Starforce nightmare and open the game THE SERIAL IN THE COVER IMAGE DOESN'T WORKS found 2 cracks in gamecopyworld.com: ult-cmr5_exe.rar - 2,28mb ult-cmr5.rar - 26,4mb alright, let's try now. i've copied the second archive files to their right locations (Data > Strings folder and other files to the root of game) installed the first file (updated crack) and try to play. now, the protection.dll is cracked, and needs one disc (any disc) in cd-rom drive to fool the game protection. alright, everything goin' ok

RommelTJ - I have downloaded that patch a number of times from torrentspy, and the rar file is just empty - says its 40(odd)mb but there isnt a single file in it, is there somewhere it can be had? Im too having similar problems and ive yet to get the game to work

ALL YOU WANT TO DO is to download the <ultimate crack> and replace the files: CMR5.exe~4mb, Protect.dll~30mb and the files in the folder ...data/strings/. If then you still can't play you should find the file: Registro.reg (replace it, run it and answer yes when it asks if you want to add this to your registry)which i found only in one from about 10 cracks i downloaded. Don't forget to download the <starforce remover> (this removes the starforce protection and the plug&play drivers.

The game worked PERFECTLY for me with no cracks/patches... but I have one problem, whenever I try to change the resolution/detail level it tells me to restart the game for the changes to change but when it restarts the resolution doesn't change.... in other words I cant change the resolution ( stuck on 800x600) HELP????PLZ Thanks
