I have found it!!!! You need to download proper version of the patch. I think that this is EU version, so we should dl European patch. If you want to be sure, check this key in regedit HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ubisoft\Heroes of Might and Magic V\ If it has European key inside, than, you know what to do. Which brings me to this, what people with collectors edition have in this key in their regedit. Please, help out!!! Thank you!

Tryed to just mount the file in Deamon, and installed it, then when i try to load it says: This application has failed to start because d3dx9_25.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem. Then i uninstalled the program and removed the registry files, and followed the fkin readme file, and i still get the same error message. is there any1 else that get this message, or is it just my computer thats f00ked again? plz answer tnx

When a file is missing, just google it. You should find it. I just did the search for you : http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?d3dx9_25. This is a file used in Dirext X 9.0c so I highly recomand you to DL (Dx9.0c instead of just the file) it and install it .

If you are having the problem that u cannot start the game download the crack provided by the dude earlier in this thread. I played a multiplayer game with my room mate and after 3 months+, during the Yellow Computer´s phase his meeter just stops to move. Goddamn anoying. It works if we save the game and then load it . but after 1-2 turns the computer just stops to move again. And as some other users here explained my game also started to crash like crazy a while ago. HI I have some interesting, but still very stupid problem. When I try to mount an image to DT4, nothing happens (all emulation options are on and DT4 work with other images good). I did Katharn. Its semms to be a windows fault to recognize the disk format. BUd there are still hope for U. Use Ultra ISO, and copy the files from DVD (image if you like) to an empty folder on HDD. Instal it from there, then apply crac and U are free to go...

I managed with it I used my desktop comp instead laptop, and image worked... but there is another problem - game isn't operational. I craced it, run - every seemed working just fine... But when I try to start any scenario or campaign - I got Windows Message error (send or do not send) So - chances for playing it are geting low (I have to run it on my laptop - my desktop computer is a relict with Duron 800MHz and Riva TNT2 32MB 256MB RAM). I'll try to to domething - and if I make it - I will let you know.

To katharn (Kyle I presume I think that would be the problem. Old computer that read image but cant run the game. And the new one, that cant read the image. As I say, use program Ultra ISO (great program for messing with images) and with it extract the content of image to harddisk. Than instal it from there. It should work now. In other case, its something erong with you windows (drivers, graphix.. and so on) It may be that, this is noz an official release. Maybe it has its bugs still.

I think thar for all you guys with the "Heroes has encoutered a problem and needs to close" is a solution. It happened to me, when I ran the crack. You have to put the crack in to the BIN folder, which is in the HOMM5 folder. There you will replace the original EXE with the crack and the game should work.

Okay after a few days of research I found a way to solve all the problems you guys encounter including the notorious game crash and "send don't send" popup...follow these steps and game will work. 1. Mount as usual 2. Make sure to install direct X 3. Do NOT..repeat NOT...use the crack included. 4. Go to www.filefront.com, look for patch v1.1 European(somehow the European version works fine) i tried to link b4 but it bleeped out, so you guys just go and look for it 5. After you patch it to v1.1 go to http://www.megagames.com/cgi/download/download.cgi?action=search&category=cracks&search=HEROES.OF.MIGHT.AND.MAGIC.5.V1.1.ENG.RUS.BAZIK.NOCD.ZIP to download the crack for v1.1 rus/eng ***make sure you replace the exe file in the BIN folder*** (don't worry the language is still english).
