Faust, a girl from the suburbs of Lima, in Peru, is constrained by fear. And this fear, as the local belief - a direct consequence of the soldier-adventurer had treated her mother. Faust grew up, her mother died - it's time to overcome herself. In addition to "illness" inherited from the mother Faust has gotten an "medicine": his mother had taught her to sing, to overcome the disappointment and grief. Also the film raises some social issues such as poverty of ordinary people, who can’t bury their loved ones normally. The film has gotten the biggest success of Peruvian cinema. In 2010, the picture was nominated for "Oscar".
