The Princess and the Frog
This animated film from Disney studios became the company’s comeback to the old fashioned manner of making cartoons – to drawing. However, the Disney studio is not only going back but also is moving forward since for the first time the main protagonist of the story is a very strong-minded black young girl named Tiana who works a lot to make her dream come true and to open her own restaurant. While the men are portrayed as malicious and lazy luck seekers, for example Prince Naveen of Maldonia who is turned into a frog. At the ball Tiana learns that despite she has saved enough money to by an old mill and to rebuild it she can lose everything. She meets a frog prince and together they try to solve each other’s problems.
