"Exx-Traddition started in 2004 when two friends, Carl and Pierre, decided to play the roles of minstrels in a Medieval reenactment event. They develop a passion for music and entertainment and decide to form a real band. They meet Simon and Véro who bring in several new influences to the sound. The members particularly enjoy rock and alternative and sometimes add in a little swing or ska. They often get their inspiration out of traditional musics from Quebec, France and Ireland. Exx-Traddition strives to be festive, original, socially aware and accessible. The Montréal band combines various instruments, from Irish whistle to electric guitar, mandoline, harmonica and glockenspiel. In 2008, Exx-Traddition autoproduced a first album called L’album carreauté (or The Tartan Album) and is now working on a second one. You can listen to many of their songs on their MySpace: www.myspace.com/exxtraddition1 or visit their website for show dates and other info: http://www.exx-traddition.com (French only, sorry!)"<br /><br />http://www.pirateparty.ca/captain/torrents/exx-traddition<br />http://www.exx-traddition.com/<br />http://www.myspace.com/exxtraddition1
