  All Movies Encoded from hd-bits.ro's 43.5GB Star Trek Movies (1-10) torrent. Original bitrate ~6000kb/s size: 4.5Gb per movie. (Which resulted in the video's not playing smoothly on my 1.6GHz PC) resulting bitrate varies from ~650kb/s (first movie) to 1300kb/s (movie 7 Generations). encoder used: Mediacoder 0.6.1 with x264 constant quality setting 50 (gives about 1 pixel blur) and 24kHz Lame VBR mp3 setting 2 (MAX 112kb/s) Note: the high frequencies are usually not perceived anyway and only having to encode half the samples gives audio better quality @ lower bitrates. Movie 7 has some static in the audio, but this was already there in the hd-bits.ro version. An excellent torrent site by the way! As You notice some movies took more space - as they needed it, some less. Originally I downloaded the 13.6Gb version wich has every movie cut in two 700Mb parts, and made it my project to join the files and recode them in H264 But... full movies ended up~ 350Mb as the resolution (640-272) was minimal.
