maybe this q doesnt fit here, but ill ask anyway ;) is it possible to format a floppy disk via the winuae, transfer a game and beeing able to play it on the real deal? (A500)? Or inserting an floppy for the A500 and play it via the winuae?

Ive been Using This Emulator for the last 5years... Idunno why you ppl say u cant save in the games when u can... Guys guys guys... U can make a savedisk directly on ur hardrive.. U can even install some of the never games.. from the A1200 and on.. As long as you got all the KickRoms u should be fine.. Most of the games you download includes a settings file that sets up the Emulator to the specifics needed... Alot of great games are out there... I mostly use the Emu to Emulate old Arcade 2player games like bubble bobble and of course North & south.. The Amiga had alot more 2player capable games.. wich if you gor Joysticks its almost like back in the days... This torrent is 90% legal... the only thing wich Amiga still own is the ROM files.. If you still own an Amiga you own the right to extract the ROM file from it. wich can be done.. but why not just download it and say u did eh??.. BUT REMEMBER... U CAN SAVE UR GAMES..

(A500)?" short anwser : Yes Long anwser : is not simple, you can a) buy a interface named cat weasel witch works great b) use a PC with 2 floppy drive and a utility found in AUE site.Modern computers do not have one much less 2 floppy drives, but you can seek for for it. c) Once you have the afd in the amiga use afd reader on the amiga to write a regular floppy.This is a bit fuzzy because there are several ways to do that :Serial coms; CD-roms; Cross-DOS flopies; internet attachments; etc.

TawnyT, yes it is posible...... but it is a litle more complex than that :) Go to the Winuae Website and look it up there. There is even a way to link the amiga to your PC..How cool is that ?

when it says insert another disk and i change the setting in winuae( i eject the first one an i browse the other one) it does not continue. Does anyone know what i am doing wrong? i load the disk on df0 thanks in advance

I am an old timer regarding Commodore; Amiga fan, owned Amiga 600 1M ram + ... But when i tried to install this pack my comp crashed. had to to install windows once again. i am using sp3. also using original nod32, no virus warnings. that's it. just giving you heads up

about the disk change: if you have you WinUAE set to Turbo it sometimes wont load properly your best bet is to just leave it in 100% and if it still doesnt work try using to floppy drive instead of the one, you can use upto four floppy drives at once

most roms should work using the turbo setting, if not change it to 100%, which emulates the amiga floppy drives to 100%, if the still doesnt work then you may have the wrong setting to play the rom i.e. AGA you may need to change your sto something like this (this is my personal settings and i have had no problems) CPU CPU: 68020+FPU JIT enabled. CPU Emulation Speed: Fastest possible, but maintain chipset timing. CPU idle: none (meaning the bar is on the left) Advances JIT Settings: Cache size 8MB Chipset Chipset: AGA Options: Cycle-exact CPU and Blitter Collision Level: Sprites and Sprites vs. Playfield Sound Emulation: Emulated 100% accurate ROM [where ever you system ROMs are stored] amiga-os-310.rom RAM Memory Settings: Chip:2MB Slow:none Fast:none Z3 Fast:8MB RTG:8MB again these are my personal settings and i have had no trouble with these hope that helped

Maybe thats why you should install it first, copy all the adfs, then install your own latest version of winuae, and paste your adfs wherever you like....bit of lateral thinking perhaps needed eh? enjoy!
