Follow the Leader is the third album of the American metal band Korn which is different not only in sound but also in the quality of the record. It was released on August 18, 1998. The album has sold over 14 million copies worldwide. This album was the breakthrough not only for a band but for the genre as well. The further dawn of nu metal owes to this particular album in many respects. The album became the most commercially successful and was included to the 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.

Many guest vocalists participated in the recording, featuring Ice Cube – “Children of the Korn”, Tré Hardson (The Pharacyde) – “Cameltosis”, Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit) – “All in the Family”. The actor Cheech Marin performed vocals on “Earache My Eye”, which is the cover from the movie “Up in Smoke”, while all the rest perform and exchange instruments constantly.

The songs begin from the 13th track, the first 12 tracks are silent, they make a minute of silence in honour of Justin, the boy who wished to see Korn before his death.
