Hello, i know this might sound a bit silly, but i'm from denmark and when i push "my" ~ buttom, nothing happens in the game, else it works fine etc, awsome upload But is there any change that i can change it, so it's another buttom i have to hit .. You didnt enable the developer console, Rikkezor. : Go To Options\Keyboard and Mouse and Enable "Allow Developer Console" Click Done.

i got everything to work fine except now when i try to join an online game it starts searching and right when the search is done it shows a game lobby for about .0001% of a second and says "DISCONNECTED connect with setion has been lost" what do i do????

hi blaze69, firstly let me say u are doing a lot of good to help people who want to use games and stuff and cant afford it due to the high prices... i have downloaded games from you and have always trid to seed as much as possible to help the cause. well wanted to ask you a question. i may have downloaded some stupid games which had a virus now my rom doesnot write using Nero or other software. but works with winXP. burining softwares do not display my DVD Writer(Samsung) as a recorinmg device. i guess its a virus. any suggestions?? pls don t say format drive and re install windows.. that would hurt coz my drive is full of games and sware. i knw this isnt th right place to ask but wanted advice pretty bad. any one wth an answer pls help. answers are welcome. thanks in advance.

rikkezor and hicsus from the main menu go to options, keyboard and mouse, and where it syas "allow developer control" enable it if you did that and it still doesent work, check your key-binds and make sure that the ~ is the correct key

I hit all the keys in my keyboard and none of them makes console appear. I've played other games that is needed to connect throug console, this is no new thing to me. A friend of mine has the same problem. Thx for the patience with us.

Hicsus make sure consol key is binded to the tilde key (the one next to 1) and retry. I had this problem a while back with quake 4 i rebinded it and it workd

bind <key> toggleconsole is the command to open consol...only problem is you need the console to do it! Il try to find another way round this and i will post if i can get it to work

Ok Hicus try downloading Qtracker, then goto http://www.epcgaming.com/epcgaming_v2/servers2.php?gameid=28 and download the server.txt then configure it (the website should tell you how to do this) and right click and join on a server. This way you should not need to use the consol. Im not sure if this will work but its worth a try. You might need to move the game folder into the default directory of installation but im not sure. If this still does not work then god help you

hi guys,congrats to blaze for this nice release,what brings me here its that i have the same problem as rikkezor and hicsus,i did found a sort of solution in epc gaming; [Problem] How do I bring up the console? [Solution] Use one of three different methods: 1- Go to your left4dead\cfg folder and open up config.cfg. Add: bind "button" "toggleconsole" [button=any keyboard button you wish to bind console to.] 2- In game, go to options and enable "Developer console". 3- Add -console to your Left 4 Dead shortcut. Right click L4D shortcut -> select properties -> look for the "Target" line and add -console to the end: "C:\games\Left 4 Dead\left4dead.exe" -console (copied from that same page)well solution 3 works for me,solution one is a good idea,but game as it is not installed wont work,so i made #3 mi option and works great.

The host computer must initiate the game with the following Host commands, and then players can join the hosted game using the Client commands: Host: 1) Enter console [~] 2) Type: sv_lan 1 [enter] net_start [enter] map [TAB thru list, enter] Cient: Enter console (~) and type: connect {ip address of host} [enter] *note*if u cant call console try to do the steps as i posted before,#3 its what im using,and it works great.

Hey I just finished downloading this and everytime I open the game it quickly opens and closes a black bok and that is it....I don't know what is wrong? I also did the direct9x setup but that didn't fix anything... I am running this on VMWare Fusion 2.0 on a 2.53ghz 13" MacBook Pro 4gb of ram and a 250gb hard drive... thanks for any help!

erik1910 read comment 42 to fix the console problem. Alternitivly you can use my method on comment 39, which does not require you to use consol and allows you to brows cracked servers.
