i was impatient, seriously can not wait for batman!! thanks uploader. as it goes, the quality is great, while it may not be in HD, it is still fine. and i'm not too sure AhsokaTano will be uploading, there have been no new uploads from him/her for about a month, maybe more.

Actually the episode is distorted. It is stretched at the edges, much like what tvs do to, its not a uniform stretch. Look at the panning going from left to right and you'll see people 'body popping'. PS it's not meant to be 4:3 but 14:9. a 1.5 ratio. broadcasters need shooting.

BlutoPage, I agree the ratio should be about 1.5 (there's a perfect way to test in the S01E18 version, see my post http://www.mininova.org/com/2613580#comment2412891). If you are after 1.5 try 3:2 - 14:9 is 1.5555.... I hope someone can test it with a graphics program (see my other post) and settle this, though if you are right about the non-uniform stretch then this is all kind of academic.

BlutoPage, I've had a look at the non-uniform stretch you are talking about, and I absolutely see what you mean (eg about 29 seconds in when the screen pans). However I don't believe it is the broadcaster since it doesn't happen all the time. If it was from the broadcaster there would be a constantly present stretch in the same part of the screen (the sides)that you could also see when the screen is not panning - unless they spent a lot of time selecting different parts of the screen to stretch for each scene. This does not seem to be the case (though it can be hard to tell because of the way the animators do their perspective sometimes, leaving nearby straight lines curved), there are clearly some lines near the edge of the screen that are straight, generally on distant buildings, that would be curved if the broadcaster was responsible. ...

My guess is that the animators did what you are talking about, either because it was cheap, or because they thought it looked good, or because they didn't like the already completed animation and wanted to fix it. To me it looks like they used a computer to deform the already drawn images, eg the pan at 29 seconds seems like they took a flat image and turned it into a curved image (as if the camera was inside a partial cylinder looking at the inside surface of that cylinder) and then 'panned' the 3D camera round from one side to another. It doesn't work well though does it? Hope that helps.
