The main characters of the thriller "Powder Blue" - four outsiders - the undertaker, a former thief, a former priest with suicidal tendencies and a stripper whose bizarre set of circumstances brings together on Christmas Eve. Liotta will play a freed after 25-year sentence man to find his long lost daughter (Jessica Biel). From the beginning we are shown a few individual people, almost unrelated to each other. But soon their destinies are intertwined in a single bundle of thoughts, feelings and actions. This story scheme, would seem as old as mankind, but again and again and again and again works. The picture is not trying to surprise the audience some special director's tricks, but it is not necessary. At the head of the plot creators have put the story, clearly written with an eye on the coveted "Oscar", and characters. We see that the writer (and, concurrently, the film's director) struggled to find its audience in any sensitive points, with the help of this grim history hit the mark.
