Thanks for the upload, but shouldnt this be Fullscreen? It looks like it was just stretched to an incorrect aspect ratio. When it said it was converted to 16x9 i figured u cropped it to fit, now the picture just looks too wide and not quite right. Thanks for the upload either way, are you not going to be releasing the Fullscreen ones with the correct Aspect Ratio anymore?

AhsokaTano... Many thanks for taking the time to put BATMAN up here. However, as DemonWak stated, this should obviously be a 4:3 transfer. I understand your reasoning for doing a 16:9 encode on this, but it stretches the animation out too much, rendering Batman so he resembles a short squat troll. Until CN decided to broadcast these again in their proper widescreen format, we fans will simply have to deal with having the show in 4:3. Besides, most widescreen displays have a built-in display "enhancers" for 4:3 material, so those super-picky-must-have-16:9 viewers can stretch or zoom (crop) it out for themselves. That way everyone is satisfied... In the meantime, have you uploaded your original 4:3 version of episode #18 anywhere yet? If not, would you please consider doing so... it would be very much appreciate! Many thanks in advance!

I SWEAR TO GOD YOU PEOPLE ARE NEVER SATISFIED!!! IF I WOULD HAVE UPLOADED IT IN 4:3 YOU PEOPLE WOULD HAVE BITCHED THAT IT WAS THE WRONG ASPECT RATIO ANYWAYS. You want the show in 4:3? I have it here in 4:3 but why should I waste my time and bandwidth to upload it for a bunch of whiners who are NEVER satisfied? like I said above: Do not complain to me that the show is not in correct 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio because I have NO control over what the DUMB ASS engineers at Cartoon Network HD channel send out when they broadcast it. IF you want to complain about the fact that Cartoon Network HD is not in TRUE 1920x1080i HD like it was earlier this year on Friday Nights when it was clearly evident by a CN HD logo in Black and Gold; not Blue and Black logo like it is now without the HD next to the CN logo. I and others are not stupid but the jackass broadcast engineers at Cartoon Network HD channel in Atlanta, Georgia obviously think that we are by not sending the programming in TRUE 1920x1080i HD. I guess they just dont give a damn because IF they did then CN HD would be in TRUE 1920x1080i HD all the time instead of being a duplicate of the CN SD channel which is lame!!! AhsokaTano: I understand if you are annoyed with some folks, but to take out your frustrations on someone like me ? in the manner you did here ? is completely uncalled for. Understandable... but still unnecessary. Two people here wrote polite comments, offering their thanks and having nothing but praise for your time and efforts, DO NOT represent "a bunch of whiners who are NEVER satisfied". I certainly have NEVER complained to you about ANY of your transfers or the shows themselves, and have never said anything but words of praise to other people about your efforts, recommending them without hestitation! I am simply an individual who loves this show, and simply wanted to watch it tonight because I missed the airing. Nothing more. True, I dolive in an area that does not receive Cartoon Network in HD (Time Warner in Los Angeles, of all places...). When the show began airing I quickly noticed that Cartoon Network SD wasn't broadcast the show letterboxed, so I looked towards the net, hoping the someone would kindly upload the widescreen feed for other fans of the show. With delight, I discovered your downloads, and looked forward with anticipation each Friday/Saturday for each new upload. Certainly I was dismayed when I downloaded the first new episode a few weeks ago (ep. #16), and read your explanation regarding how the Cartoon Network HD feed was all screwed up, and that they were only broadcasting the cropped 4:3 SD feed. But as you repeatedly state, THAT IS NOT YOUR FAULT. You certainly do not work for the network and are obviously not responsible for their programming. What you are doing instead is providing fans like me a valuble service... a service that I am eternally thankful for, constantly praise, and always recommend to others. I therefore went back to watching the show on CN when it aired on Friday nights, when I was able. I am chronically ill, and frequently pass out as a side effect of my illness. When that occurs ? as it did this past evening ? I looked forward to your upload, again grateful that it existed. I am more than happy to watch BATMAN in its cropped 4:3 format, because that is definitely better than having no BATMAN at all. Plain and simple. It was only after downloading tonights episode (#18) and reading the NFO file that I discovered your problems with some of the "fans." And I do understand your frustration -- I found myself in the same situation as you in the past, people bitching and complaining to me about things I had no control over. (I used to be a professional reviewer, and also edited a magazine + ran a laser/DVD website for many many years. A lot of people blamed me when something was wrong with their DVD, or bitched at me when a title wasn't available, demanding that I release it. Not that thet realized that I didn't work for the studio and had NOTHING to do with ANY DVD product.) It made me want to quit what I was doing. These are the same morons who go to places like Best Buy and yell at the cashier for an hour because their MP3 player is missing a cable, or the cheap phone they purchased was broken. The cashier didn't make that MP3 player or phone; it's not their fault something was wriong with the products... and they certainly do not deserve ti be yelled at over thing that are out of their control. But such people do unfortunately exist. But what I quickly learned was that such complainers WERE NOT representative of the majority. Most fans are/were people like myself, who are 100% satisfied with my efforts... but unfortunately, the majority of people never take the time to write and say "thank you for what you do," to let you know that your efforts ARE appreciated. People usually only write when they have question, or especially to complain about something. And once I realized that, I was much happier with my work, knowing that it truly was appreciated, even if I didn't hear it often enough. (Although in the end, my illness made the decision for me, and I had to stop working.) I'm sure the same is true for your BATMAN transfers ? the majority of people ARE 100% satisfied with your work, and appreciate it! But unfortunately those are the same people who usually do not think of writing to just say "thank you." So again, please, please don't be angry at my comments, and please don't take them to be representative of that other group of unsatisfied whiners. The only thing I am personally guilty of here is missing the show when it aired, and wanting to view it via your always-excellent transfers. I was simply taken by surprise when I began viewing your download via my PS3, and couldn't figure out why I wasn't getting a proper 4:3 image... why my PS3 or HDTV was stretching the image. That's when I read your NFO file, and realized the problems you were having. That's also when I decided I should offer my praise and thanks for your efforts, soi you know that there ARE people out here who appreciate you!!! And while I did ask if you could upload your original 4:3 transfer, I certainly didn't mean to offend you; I honestly thought you would be pleased to know that some people were perfectly happy with your efforts they way they were ? here's the episode the way it was aired, no more no less. I sincerely hope you can accept my apologies for any misunderstandings there may have been with regard to my comments, and realize that I only have praise and everlasting gratitude for your efforts. I am sorry for the problems you are having with those annoying "fans", and hope that others like myself take the time to offer their thiughts and thanks as well. Please don't stop providing BATMAN transfers just because of a few bad seeds out there; don't let them ruin it for the majority of fans like myself. I try my best each and every week to do this show and others and its not my fault if the IDIOTS at Cartoon Network HD channel cannot get it right. There has to be a way to resolve this problem and make everyone satisfied and it's really up to the broadcast engineers and others in charge at Cartoon Network HD channel maybe IF enough people complain about it they will do something about it!!! While it did sort of seem that it was being directed personally at me (since I made the request), I gave you the benefit of the doubt as I've been in your shoes before. It's definitely hard to deal with the morons... both here and at CN. I'll definitely be putting forth my own feedback at CN, and will get some friends to help out at well. Hopefully we'll be able to get our proper 16:9 episodes back on the air...

AhsokaTano as for me I just want it in the correct AR. If CN doesn't broadcast it in HD then alright, I can deal with that. Then release how it is supposed to be released (with corrected AR). I don't know if CN broadcasted this in widescreen using a 4:3 or whatever. I really dont care how they did it, just release it in correct AR and i'm more than happy. like previous posters said the end user can put their tv in Zoom mode if need be to auto crap the picture.

Ya i apologise aswell, wasnt trying to be a jerk. I just thought it would be better to do it in the aspect ratio they aired it in instead of changint the look of the show, i am not complaining , just commenting, i love your work and would VERY much prefer it to anyone else's. like stated before, i would just prefer it however aired, just so the picture is not altered, sorry again for coming off like an ass. thx as always for your time and hard work!

The true aspect ratio is 4:3, this is squashed into 16:9.

It is squashed. Why not just fix the error even though it was broadcast wrongly? Surely you know how to fix a bad aspect ratio? 640x440 corrects it. PS I fixed it myself by RE_ENCODING it to correct the fault. and put the size down to 175MB where it should be.

BlutoPage, you're wrong. First of all, you don't squish 4:3 into 16:9, the word would be stretching. Second, if you look at the very beginning, the bat symbol on the 4:3 release looks like an egg, where the 16:9 release looks round. Third, Last week it was already proven that CN are a bunch of ****** who are getting widescreen content and broadcasting it in 4:3, making it look like ****. RKO_Hater pulling it out to 16:9 for us doesn't make it true 16:9, but it makes it look much more like how it should be compared to the braodcast. Fourth, no need to be a snob about the filesize. 175MB might be the usual, but by no means is it "correct". If RKO_Hater added some bitrate here and there, or if the size increased for another reason, who cares. It's the best commercial-free version of this show. You should be more appreciative.

@dukeofcrydee I never used the term 'squish', it's not a word. Goto frame '2215' and look at the Moon. You know that big blue ROUND THING behind bataman. If it appears round then I'm wrong, if it looks like someone's sat on it ie. 'squashed', then the aspect ratio is WRONG. Yes the broadcaster is in error, but that dosen't magically make the files AR correct. If I see an error I fix it. a ratio of around 1:5 fixes it. Balls, planets, circles are ROUND NOT ovals or ellipses. I took the opportunity while correcting the file to slim it down. (you have to re-encode it). What should I have done, made it bigger??? the IQ levels astound me....

@BlutoPage, Oh yeah, you got me, you said "squashed". Same ****ing thing. As for your moon, I opened up NanDub and looked. It's round to me. The video of this torrent plays naturally at 16:9 and round things (moon, bat signal, etc..) look round. The fact that it's a 16:9 and YOUR player stretches it even more....that's baffling. Looks like you've got some technical issues to figure out. And I never said to make it bigger, I was obviously commenting on your snobbish quip about "175MB, as it should be". A$$. So basically, you quibble about squish vs. squash, you forget what you wrote and confuse my comment about your view on the filesize, and your own player settings are wacked. The fact that YOU'RE questioning IQ levels makes me laugh. Where's keyboard cat when you need him...
