td24. The first 100 days is always a milestone of a presidency that is judged good or bad. Obama 100 days - Bush 2688 days since ****. I truly hope and pray Obama will do as well. The tea parties were about spending, not taxes. The ****** tax increases start in next years budget which will hurt the economy even more. Now the government is monetizing its own debt. Kind of like you or I taking one credit card to pay another. The world will not buy our debt to help support the American standard of living. The standard of living that is built on irresponsible personal credit and government deficits. The bubble is going to burst at some point. It started with Bush and the totally irresponsible congress(republican majority) and has only gotten far worse with the democrats. Clinton left office with a surplus. How did this happen? We just need to look in the mirror.

As for economics 101, you never took the class, I did along with numerous other finance and accounting classes. The worst is yet to come in this Obama economy.

Sorry, that wasn't helpful but what does being a Canuck have to do with anything? I am only here to post thanks, share audiobooks and radio shows with others (even you, if you download the show), and of course to call you 'lefty'. Trick, I only tease you because you take yourself so damn seriously some times. Also, If I address a political issue, my focus is the general practice and philosophies. I wasn't commenting on how your government is running your country nor would I ever presume to. It's not my business unless I emigrate and pay taxes. My comment regarding your assertions on basic economics were only to point out that there are other schools of thought on how much govenment spending will or will not stimulate the economy. I didn't even identify my own position nor do I really think is relevant. I certainly have one but it is by no means dogmatic.

Why is it that fans of the not so GOP are always so quick to draw their guns? Its a bit like someone shouting fire at a public gathering because they were not invited. The thing about "lefties" is they have this tradition whereby they tend to react relatively coherently when peoples basic rights are being infringed upon. The thing about the "right" is they tend to react somewhat incoherently when they do not feel their particular views are being represented. They cry "communist" and "socialist" - the real nutters shout "kill him" or "terrorist". If the pseudo tea parties were not about taxes why were people shouting "no taxation without representation". Do they understand the not too subtle differences between the Boston Tea Parties and their little debacle. Its quite clear they were doing their utmost to stir up revolt against a democratically elected president. If the tables were turned I wonder how Bush would have handled that situation?

td24 You did not answer my question. Obviously you think it is better spent by the government if you support Obama economic plan. I went to college and earned the degree. Earned, as in no one helped me pay for it. I did it all myself working 50-60 hours a week taking a full load of classes. As for the Obama economy watch as the unemployment rate and interest rates go up. Man up!! It's the Obama economy now. Bush can only be blamed for the first 100 days. It's the rules. Bush was wrong then and Obama is wrong now for the bailouts. As for the cost of the wars, no terrorist attacks since September 11th speaks for itself. Rush is enjoyable to listen to but I think for myself thank you very much. Sorry, I don't keep score unless it's golf.

Take a look at the online home of the movement taxdayteaparty, they have an image of Washington crossing the Delaware in 1776, 3 years post the actual Tea party. Also why call it a tea party if you did not want to stir up some sort of revolutionary fervor. Saying period does not make your perspective more correct. It is merely a form of *******isation.
