Hey guys, I have never used Ubuntu and have a couple questions. I have quad core AMD Phenom II processor, how does it run on a quad-core? Also, do you guys game on this operating system? Is it even possible? Do you find any issues with any drivers for hardware on this O/S? Thanks for any feedback.

@ StubFromFlorida: Ubuntu runs great on any CPU. Run Windows games using Wine or Cedega. It's not yet at the "guaranteed" stage, but it's getting there. I usually just run them in a "Windows virtual machine" from inside Ubuntu. Hardware and driver support is excellent, I have FAR less problems in Ubuntu than I do in Windows on the same machines (dual booting). Most peripherals just plug-and-play; Ubuntu recognizes them and sets them up automatically during boot-up. If you're unsure just download Ubuntu, burn it to a CD, and run it in "live CD" mode, no installation is necessary just to try it out. You can even install it from within Windows, and install it on your existing partitions (though I recommend that you give it it's own drive/partitions cuz Windows simply self-destructs far too often). I often repair my broken Windows installations from Ubuntu - Windows is too dumb to even be able to see Linux partitions, but Ubuntu can read and write to Windows partitions just fine.
