Sorry ANGELLICAm but you must have d/l part one twice - Part2 is Part 2! The problem is that neither part will play on anything other than a PC.My XVID stand-alone player will give sound only.I guess there ia a codec problem.

Spantrekker - problem with your stand-alone is in fact in resolution - 1024x576 is usually unsupported by stand-alone players. Try to re-encode it and reduce the resolution, for example, by half - 512x288. That will solve your problem. It solved mine .

well anyway it solved my problem with the first part encoded in aforementioned resolution .

likzeek. I have no idea where you got or read the resolution 1024x576 from. As the resolution for this movie is 608 x 336 And yes it does play perfectly in standalones. You should check if your standalone supports PAL and not only NTSC as this movie is a PAL.

PAL or NTSC has nothing to do with an avi file. That has to do with the player and if the tv can handle the signal. I haven't dl'ed this one yet so can't check what resolution it actually is but I did dl another version that was 1024x576. There is a good chance this is the same avi but uploaded by another. But does this show have a happy ending? Because the fore mentioned version did not have any part info so I assumed that it was complete. Now I think maybe not. Total time 1:30h, kinda short so Hoping it was only part 1. ... I checked comments on "http://www.mininova.org/tor/2494089" so I guess it was only part 1.

Further to my earlier comments (No.2) I have now tried to play these files on three different and reasonably new standalone machines and got the same result i.e. sound only so I must take issue with '1337x' that they 'will play on any decent standalone'.The files however play beautifully on the media centre and my compliments to 1337x on his work. I'm just curious that in five years of d/l these are the first .avi files not to give a picture.
