Hey Secret_Myth.I saw ur post of The Pink Panthjer & I got a suggestion for ya. If u could lower the resolution than the source you can achieve a little better quality.700 MB is not enough for a 720p release.Minimum 1.36 GB for a 720p movie.Your release The Wackness has this problem.

I don't know the technical word for this problem. I mean the wuality is good but the outlining of the characters is like deinterlaced by a lowest deinterlacer.Hope u'll understand the fault.I'd recommend DVD resolution for a 700 MB release. Well thats just my perspective.Rest is upto u. U could give it a shot.

as for an encoder its most likely ffmpeg or mencoder with his own settings. He could be using a front end to it like megui, or handbrake. It isn't pspvideo 9 ;-) If it is ill just die, lol.

Very good quality! Good audio! Great download...it took a half an hour to download for me. The movie wasn't as great as I thought it was going to be. It was kind of weird, they just stared at each other a lot...awkward silences.

Those of you wanting to play this on ur ps3, here are sum steps on how 2 . 1. You can use YAMB to extract the video and audio streams to raw avc. 2. Then with H264Info press the "..." button next to the "Input File" box to load in your .264 (or .h264) file. 3. Press the "..." button next to the "Output File" box to specify an output filename ... this should be a different file to the input file, otherwise you simply overwrite your input file with a near blank file. The only option you need to fill out in the boxes below is the "Level" setting. Type "4.1" in this box. Remember to uncheck pps at every picture. Press the "Start" button to start processing. The processing might take a while. 4. With the finished file, open YAMB again and mux (creation>mp4) the newly created video stream with the audio stream you extracted earlier to a new mp4. Problem solved.

K, the PS3 media server works! However, be aware that SOMETIMES while copying over to the ps3, the file sizes might exceed 2GB, example Akira, princess mononoke and other OGM or MKV files. Otherwise, the PS3 streams 100% flawlessly. A really big thank you to KingKong for all his help, if only there was more moderators out there that is as helpful as you are... agentmi6, BRRip is an encode from a BlurayDisc rip (BDRip). And unless your DVD plays H.264 MP4 files, probably not. You could always convert it to DVD format with ConvertXtoDVD though. You'd lose some of the 720p quality, but it would still look a whole lot better than any DivX/XviD rip would.

sk5878, Yes, some DVD players will play H264 MP4, but there aren't many. And as to your second question, H.264 is the video codec, or video stream (aka AVC or MPEG-4 part 10), inside an MP4 container in this case (along with an AAC audio stream). H.264 is often found in other types of video containers, such as MKV.

Akshi Check your audio settings in VLC as this is 5,1 ch and it sounds as if you may just have two channel capability. 'Audio' > 'Audio channels' and 'Audio Device' should be set to 'Stereo' if you don't have a 5.1 ch speaker system.

mark2seamy VLC Player <- best choice for most every video audio file under the sun http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ KMPlayer <- another excellent player especially for h264 mp4/mkv http://kmplayer.en.softonic.com/ And/Or get yourself a codec pack (CCCP or K-Lite, etc) and be able to play these files and most any other back in windoze media player. Do keep in mind that it takes at least an average CPU and GPU to play H.264, esp 720p H264 without possibly having playback issues such as stuttering video and/or sync issues. H.264 offers significant advantages over earlier formats like DivX/XviD but with increased compression (better quality - smaller file sizes) comes more demanding decoding capability. Most newer computers will have no probs.

Yeah, the Kantaris Player is just VLC Player in a new skin. It runs totally on VLC player's open source code so it should play most everything too, although it's a project of one person, Christofer Persson, so is more likely to not have the ongoing support and updates that you'd get from the Videolan team with VLC.

Just wanted to agree with 39ipher22, quality is amazing 10/10, but as he stated this film is absolutely ****. Watched 1000's of films, and seen some rubbish over the years, but I seriously cannot believe the hype about this film..... If you want to play on PS3. I use PS3Media Server( http://ps3mediaserver.********.com/ ). I stream all my movies from my pc and external hard drive to my PS3 using it and if the movie is not compatible with PS3 it Transcodes it in real time while streaming. It handles 5.1 surround and no more worries about what format movies are in it can handle it. By far the best solution for PS3. and yes it plays Secret Myth files

Sounds like you are talking about a different torrent than this one in which SM's source was listed as from the scene release group "Replica", like this BBRip's source was from "SEPTiC" ("Original Source: Twilight 720p BluRay x264-SEPTiC&quot. And NO!, the audio should not have been AAC HE. High-Efficiency Advanced Audio Coding (AAC HE) is a lesser quality extension of AAC LC for low bandwidth applications like streaming video. The audio on the rip is superb.

You're wrong! Here it's used about 240kbit for 6 channels which means that every channel has less than 48kbit each (considering the low bitrate for LFE) which is BELOW of what LC can offer at that bitrate. AAC-HE would "improve" quality and reduce the compression artifacts, especially in a 5.1 track. I just analyzed the sample though, maybe the movie was encoded differently. how can you say it's superb? For me sounds the opposite!

AAC does not split the bitrate evenly among all channels. AAC-LC was designed to compress 6ch well to around 250 kb/s. See here for a fair explanation: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=132616 The audio to this vid is par for the course for all AVC AAC MP4 videos in this file size range. The sound quality is fantastic.

@ MajorTJKingKong: In that case I should give the movie a try cause if you say it's fantastic the sample must have something wrong! Despite this torrent, I know about IIRC but i did some DTS -> AAC tests and I realized that 256LC wasn't enough cause I could clearly here the compression, only at 320LC the 6ch track was perfect. If I want to keep 256 I need to use HE to delete those artifacts. That's what I tested personally.

DigitalSa You are obviously by far waaaaay too a_nal an audiophile for rips via torrents (to the point it's laughably ridiculous imho), or at least SecretMyth's rips in any case. You may find some in the +2-8GB range that might make your discerning ear happy, but I wouldn't bet on it. imho you should just buy/rent the BluRays.

I always have my doubts too anyone who makes claims like "I could clearly here (sic) the compression". Claims like that remind me of the flac/lossless junkies who can never seem to post a blond abx test result to hydrogen audio to prove they can actually tell the difference between 266 kb/s mp3 and any lossless format of the same audio. Perhaps there is some 9 yr old whose ears can tell the difference somewhere, but for any adult who isn't fortunate to have superhuman hearing, you will not be able to blind abx test the difference between 250kb/s and 320kb/s AAC-LC audio from the same soundtrack.

Noo you're totally wrong with me! For me 128kbit AAC stereo is more than fine, here it's not. Anyway I'm downloading the movie, cause as I told you even a "9 yr old" can tell that the sample audio sounds like it's coming out form a box! it's an orrible sound. And yes I can hear the difference between 256 and 320 but THIS IS NOT THE CASE, the quality is far too low than 256. I'll let you know when download is complete.

Oh, I just read the comments above. It doesn't matter whether it's 256, 320 or AAC, hardly no one can hear the difference between those formats. This release is far worse, the sound is muddy and obviously not coming from a DVD release or another high quality source. I would be surprised if the sound is not coming from a t******* recording. Bad stuff.

Hi I just want to say that like most others here i used to download axxo's 700mb avi's ,that was until i read posts about h264 mp4 avc format ,I then downloaded secretmyths Rocknrolla to see formyself what the fuss was about and was blown away by the clarity and colours that i was seeing there was no pixelating in comparison to axxo's avis ,they were **** in comparison the sound quality also rocks!!!. So i am a secretmyth fan BIGTIME !!!! Especially after i downlded indiana jones kingdom of the crystal skull BRrip there is no going back now secretmyth BRrips and h264 all the way gotta love those 1280 x 720 Rips just stunning ,Underworld BRrips Beautiful!!!.
