The Prince of Tennis is a 2006 live-action movie directed by Yuichi Abe and based on The Prince of Tennis manga series by Takeshi Konomi. It condenses the storyline from when Ryoma arrives in Japan to the match against Hyotei Academy. The film was released in Japan on May 13, 2006.
Ryoma Echizen, a tennis prodigy, attends Seishun Academy (also known as Seishun Gakuen or Seigaku, for short), a school famous for its strong tennis club and talented players. Ryoma quickly defeats numerous upperclassmen shortly after entrance to secure himself a spot on the regulars team.

Prince of Tennis
The plot of TV anime series “Prince of Tennis†(Tenisu no ojisama) twists around 12-year Echizen Remy, who has won four times at the American Junior Tennis Championships and returned to Japan. Following in the footsteps of his famous father - Echizen Nanjira-Remy goes to school Seyshin Gakuen, known for its tennis club, which is one of the most prestigious tennis clubs in Tokyo.
Remy easily takes his place in the team of the club.
Now Remy and his eight teammates will have to defeat other players from different schools to take first place in the National Championship.
