I use "JkDefrag" is completely free, no cost, no time limit. If anyone finds "Smart Defragment" usefull, note it on this page.

You should NEVER replace the Windows Defragment with other programs. Both the OS and Win Defr. are from M$ and they are working just fine. It is not recommended to do that..

Windows defragmenter only defrags fragmented files, it doesn't do anything fancy with the files like place them in some structural order. Raxco perfectdisk, for instance, places often used files on the outside, so that the larely modified files won't have to be moved around all the time. As far as I know (and am concerned) every defragmenter than isn't retarted can help your PC with load times and such. Not by a huge margin, but enough to keep you motivated to regularely defrag your drives. That said, this defragger is probably just as powerful/useful/awesome as the next one. Protip: use multiple, smaller, partitions than one large one. It's more selective, and thus also faster, defragging.
