"champdav" your GTX 280 should run "ANY" game at Ultra High 1920x1200, maybe not with AA on though. mine is MSI GTX 280 and is not overclocked, im only running a Q6600 quad core and Fear 2 runs everything at Ultra High at 54 frames per second at 1920x1200 without AA.

I was just wondering if the new f.e.a.r will work on my system its got: intel quad core Q6600 2.80Ghz 4GB RAM 1TB HDD (obivausly no problem there lol) 32bit Vista Nvidia 9600GT 512mb I'm pretty confidant it will run smoothly because I've just had silent hill V going on it and the first f.e.a.r game ran pretty well on my old system which was a ****ty Intel HT 2GB Ram and a **** 256mb gpu (ATi X600) Soo yeah someone please tell me if I'm in the green to play this at high performance Cheers Dudes

in short weloveme, it should play fine. maybe not a well as my 4850, but still fine. and boggit, you will have 0 trouble at all.

I've just played it and ran everything on low and 640x480 settings should have seen state of it lmao then tried all on medium including 2x-AA and Anti******c x4 no problems no sense of slow downs or lag then bumped it all on maxium with 4xAA and 16xAnti******c was suprisingly there was no problems no slow downs or lagg so its safe to say it will work without going SLi on your system and f.e.a.r 2 is ****ing brilliant

"WeLoveMe" I doubt very much that your PC will run this at Ultra High settings with windows Vista and only a 9600GT, im assuming u meant at 1920x1200 with AA. id recommend a GTX280 or faster 1gb card, anything less is just not made for Ultra High settings, theres a HUGE difference between a low-mid range Graphics Card and a High end card. my 2 cents...

u all need to shut up as none of u know anything about what u r talking about, 9600GT cards are rated as LOW END graphics cards now, they are like 2 years old I not long ago sold one and i can tell u that with a q6600 and at 1920x1200 it barely keeps up at 15fps on any new game (fallout 3, mirrors edge,fear 2,farcry2) as any review will tell you ultra high detail and AA settings are only there for High End cards like a GTX280, and definitely not made for "daft_peanuts" 4850 or any of u other cheap *******s, Playing the latest PC games on the highest settings costs ***** so if u dont have $$$ u will have to live with ****ty XBOX360 and PS3 graphics that **** balls.

no I can only run it at 1240x1024 anything higher wont work I'm using an old monitor atm which is the shape of microwave. and Permanet Inc if thats the where the Q6600 and a 512mb gpu draws its line then thats fine by me aslong as I can see it in a good detail thats all I'm bothered about so dont start flame war
