on one of my computers, I had the trial version installed, and this one refuse to accept any serial, even if the trial are uninstalled. On another computer (No previous nero installed before) the same serials works just fine. This makes me to suspect that Nero trial somehow stored a hidden file with an updated pirated-keys-list. Simply Reinstalling windows didn't help, but a reformat and reinstall of windows did help. Somewhere on C:\. there is an updated "pirated-keys-list" stored. Anyone to figure out where?

_mixman_ kidaware and others You do realize that the majority of AV programs will purposely detect cracks etc. as viri simply to prevent piracy right? If not hopefully now you do. okay, I am no noob to torrents and this seems to have worked... but using the software once installed is proving to be more than my simple mind can handle. I can see and use the control center, but I don't see any of the actual applications on my machine. Help a noob figure it out?

several months and 30 posts in and nobody mentions that the "Activator-V2.exe" is infected with a trojan? Backdoor.Hupigon.151137 to be precise. the AV app on my windows laptop picked it up (thankfully) so to be sure I uploaded it to virustotal and this is what I got back: http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/9a5c288b1ef2f5187961786fbd9cdce4 still only 25% detection rate with AV apps, so if you've run this and didn't get an alert then you are almost certainly infected.

So far I used 3 or 4 different methods (not to mention installation/re-installation tries) for installing and activating Nero 9 trial and none of them fully worked. It's the same with this torrent. The problem remains to be the very same in all of the cases/methods - including this. Sooner or later this pop-up window appears after starting any of the Nero's apps stating something about of non-licensed usage jada jada jada. But one thing have all these cases in common. The appearance of the forementioned pop-up window disappears if my windows date is set to 17th of January 2009 or earlier (which is the very first date I downloaded and installed my first Nero 9 from this torrent: http://www.mininova.org/tor/2120187 . Any ideas from the activation/patcher makers how to overcome this nuisance?

dopeboy's serial generator didn't work for me but i found a serial online that worked, and the program's working so it seems that his activator worked. FYI ppl, his instructions don't include "install nero" because that's one of the steps inside the activator program. hope this program continues to work for me. thx dopeboy!

Im with you..every time I download this and get a serial or a keygen or a patch....a week later Nero says my serial is invalid....... Am i missing something..I follow directions pretty well when it comes to something I want... any ideas of why or how I can just have the product registered?..of course without having to use fundage.. times are tough!!

looks like this is a good workin copy as if u follow the instructions in the activator, only thing is the please register comes up an it can't find a file fer backit up 4 i dl the plugins but they don't show up, but nero does works well so far hadd it installed fer 4 hrs now an its still runing fine DougMN

to make nero 9 work uuse ur antiviurs/firewall program (mcafee) and just look for the firewall configure bit its in the advanced bit and go throgh a list of all da progams on ur pc/laptop and permentley block anything to do are related to nero sounds compecatied bits quite simple and im a noob with this sort of stuff lol..........

Speedy, even if you have it completly blocked (I use Zone Alarm) somehow Nero sneaks thru. DougMN if ya got vista follow these directions for your Host files 1) Browse to Start -> All Programs -> Accessories 2) Right click "Notepad" and select "Run as administrator" 3) Click "Continue" on the UAC prompt 4) Click File -> Open 5) Browse to "C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc" 6) Change the file filter drop down box from "Text Documents (*.txt)" to "All Files (*.*)" 7) Select "hosts" and click "Open" 8) Make the needed changes and close Notepad. Save when prompted. Tamer, still working 1 day later, thanx m8!
