Don't waste time on this meaningless and boring crap. I actually like this kind of movie if it's done with some kind of purpose. Stinks of oscar bait, hopes it wins nothing. Btw, the priest didn't resign because he is guilty, he's in a lose/lose situation if the matter blows up. He'd probably ran from another accusation from a desperate nun who really needs/wants to get laid.

" spoken like an ignorant non-Catholic. And by "lot of kids" you mean those adults who come forward after 30 years making up shit that would be too late by today's standards. I'm not saying all of the priests do it, but in the past a handful of them did which ruined it for the rest of the people. This movie made by non-Catholics tries to show in this propaganda that Catholics are nothing but pedophiles. I could go on more about this but I really don't care to. Doesn't matter how low the "reported" rate of actual child abuse within "the church" goes. 1 is too many, and you certainly would think that if someone forbade from engaging in any "intimate" act, castration would be a good thing for them and the people they interact with both. I haven't watched this movie yet, but I would like to say a few things. The priesthood is an office so much higher than the majority of your minds could comprehend. I'm not saying it's okay that priests have done things they shouldn't, because it's not okay. They are actually held to an even higher standard than those other pedophiles all over the world. Bottom line is collectivism is hateful and violent. Racism is a form of collectivism, and it is no different to group every priest into a single category than it is to group races. No priest truly hides behind the veil of the Vatican. The Vatican has taken more steps to prevent these things than anyone cares to understand. In the last decade, the numbers of protestant ministers molesting children is greater than Roman Catholic priests. An even larger number is accumalated in Baptist seminarians. No one is above sin, not even the Pope. Men are men, and need to battle themselves. We shouldn't be talking negatively about a group of people, but praying to the Father, and the High Priest, that these men on Earth can live out their vocation the way it is intended to be. Jesus Christ was the first Catholic Priest. Don't categorize him as a pedophile.
