Comments:Madison, Wisconsin-based Unearthed Outdoors, LLC, announce the release of their line of full color global imagery. “Our True MarbleTM imagery is some of the most realistic medium resolution imagery available on the market,†says Seth Price, co-owner of Unearthed Outdoors.<br /><br />The imagery was built from the best available Landsat scenes, which were chosen to optimize vegetation quality and reduce cloud cover. The orthorectified scenes were fed into proprietary, advanced, color adjustment algorithms to produce true color imagery while reducing atmospheric haze. The imagery is optimized to produce the most natural color, while still maintaining high local contrast and dynamic range, resulting in significant improvement over similar products.<br /><br />The true color imagery is available at 15 meter resolution in GeoTIFF, georeferenced tiles measuring 2 degrees on a side and is ideal for:<br />• GIS and web mapping applications<br />• High Definition Television (HDTV) effects (weather, movies, news)<br />• Flight Simulation<br />• Terrain Simulation and Visualization<br />• Oil and Gas Visualization<br /><br />True MarbleTM imagery is available for latitudes between N84 degrees and S60 degrees in a variety of formats and projections.
