There are xml loading error everytime when I load the game... "Failed Loading XML file xml\text\....................... "Reason: End tag does not match the start tag" and many things in the game are named "TXT_.........."

Updating on my experience with this torrent: It has worked flawlessly for me thus far -- been playing the game for about a week. This is NOT a disc image, but rather seven .cab files with a self-extracting .exe. The installer allows you to select which components of the game and expansions as well as which mods you wish to install. It then installs the entire package in one go. No image mounting or separate installs for each expansion required. For me it installed without error and now runs perfectly in single player games on Vista home premium. I've also had no compatibility issues yet with additional mods or editor utilities downloaded after the fact. I did NOT get any virus warnings off this and my system came up clean on several scans after install. So my guess is the red flags some other users saw are in fact false positives. I have not tested the multiplayer functionality. Will continue to seed. Hope this torrent works for you!

thanks for the download, been looking for a good warlords torrent for a while. i only have 1 problem: so far ive only tried warlords, but when i try to open menus the screen keeps blinking, making it impossible to read anything (for example starting a game or opening trade menus with other civs) i actualy own a copy of civ iv original, and it worked fine on my computer. the only difference that now i have vista, and im using your 3 in 1 complety and not my actual disk. any ideas?

Hi smoke_green Make sure your OS in healthy condition, check refresh rate monitor, install new directx, check game requirement and problem in official or related site. I guess you know how get your PC fully function. Open game, set all setting in preference to lowest then raising one by one until highest, you will found good setting for working perfect. Running game in vista.... really sorry, I don't have any idea because I never use vista, just use XP SP3. You can challenge your problem.... Note for all downloader! I play this game in : Celeron Dual Core 1.7 GB 1 GB DDRAM 2 Elixir 128 Share VGA 120 GB Seagate Baracuda Compare with your pc then ask why you have problem ???

*Do not download this.* I used several networking utilities (to view the outgoing connections to you) and a heuristic scan with Kapersky, Nod32, and the Jotti online scan. This is a keylogger and sends your data out. I've looked into this torrent and I confirmed it. Civ 4 does not normally talk with an outside source... or show up as a virus.

Hey ho, would appreciate if someone could give me a hand on this one. When trying to unpack the .cab-files I get an error message "The archive is either in unkown format or damaged". Might be a piece of cake, yet I'm rather green on torrents etc. :) Cheers!

that cab file cannot be extracted by normal extractor, just use setup for installation and make sure any requirement for playing game already installed :)

Ymegop -- That's a pretty serious find! Anybody else able to confirm a keylogger in this or is there any additional comment on it from BaD besides what's in the torrent info and your earlier reply to Ymegop? I'm not suggesting the uploader *knows* something was in there, if it even is. However, NOT defending the upload after Ymegop's 04/05 post is a little unsettling... The game continues to operate perfectly on my Vista system. No anti-virus hits or detections with McAfee, MWB, or superantispyware. System continues to run as well as before and my identity hasn't been stolen yet, so...

Yes, I downloaded and used the torrent. (It worked the second time I tried it.) And then I preformed a regular security test a few hours later, and I noticed a suspicious outgoing connection. I snooped around my computer and was able to remove it. I then proceeded to check my other computer and then install this torrent on it. And behold, that computer is also transferring a very small amount of data to some server.

Grow up Ymegop As long as I now, developer not give exe file that let you play without CD, and now this game play w/o CD, that mean already cracked by someone. I got some file from developer and caught they inject spyware or keylogger, so what about file from unknown people/cracker ? Where packet destination? to my country? my account?

Ymegop: What are the specs on these two systems you used and what method did you use to detect the connection? Are these XP or Vista machines? Was it possible to end the suspicious connection by terminating a particular process? When you "removed it", how did you go about that? Was it as simple as removing the game files and the connection vanished? I'm looking at my outgoing connections in TCPView and don't see anything suspicious with or without the game running. My firewall is however set to block the game from sending or receiving data over the Internet. Fill us in on your experience in more detail if you can. Thanks! Overall, still no problems with the GAME in this torrent. Sometimes get a CTD when using a third party mod called "Diversica", but the basic game and expansions run GREAT. The fan-made "Blue Marble" upgrade pack works fine with it as well. Lots of fun! Thanks to the uploader again.

Have downloaded and installed and although CIV4, warlords and total realism all work I'm unable to run Beyond the Sword. When I try to open it I receive the following message: This application has failed to start because d3dx_33.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem. Have tried repairing and reinstalling from scratch and I always get the same problem. Any ideas why the missing component isn't installing? Anything else I can try? Thanks

So I had the same problem with d3dx_33.dll. All u have to do is download the d3dx_33.dll file and put it in windows/system folder. You can try this link for downloading the d3dx_33.dll : http://www***fragdev.com/ .............It worked for me.
