Well, I downloaded and installed Doom 3. The updating installer isn't working for me, so patched the game, but for some reason, it says, "couldn't load defult.cfg" Help?

I tried installing this Doom 3 program today, but it will not create the "doom3.exe" file in the cdoom folder ?!? I've searched the whole computer and the only one that exists is in the patch folder, but that one will not run anything. What is wrong with the installation?

1. Install Doom 3 with Daemon using all 3 Disk ISOs 2. Update the game with "DOOM 3 UPDATE 1.3.exe" 3. Install DOOM 3: Resurrection of Evil by mounting the "d3roe.cue" file using Daemon 4. Rename the executable file "Doom 3.exe" located in the installed directory to something else such as "Doom 3_ori.exe" 5. Copy the executable file "Doom 3.exe" to the installed directory 6. Enjoy!!

I started up the first level for Doom 3 ....walked around a bit and everything works.... started up Doom 3:ROE.... started the first level.... works great!! Thanks BONE

can someone help me with installing this? I clicked on "classic_doom_3_v1.1" and Installed it. Then I went into folder"PATCH" and clicked on DOOM 3 icon,but then I got this blue pop-up msg saying "Couldn't load default.cfg" It would be really great if someone could help me out with this. Thanks
