I wrote a small batch file for anyone that wants to use the 08 versions of ANY of the MDickie games. Basically, it removes the files created by the trial-ware versions, and resets the counter so you can play as many times as you want. 1) Install the Softwrap versions of the MDickie game you wish to play, usually available right through his site. 2) Open Notepad. 3) Paste the following: @echo off del "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Global.sw2" rmdir "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Fonts" /S /Q rmdir "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Softwrap" /S /Q REG DELETE HKCU\Software\Softwrap /f REG DELETE HKCU\Software\Microsoft\smallfont /f 4) Save as "whatever.bat". (Mine is MPire08.bat). When you play the game(s), you will see the Softwrap user agreement screens. Click ok, and you will get 3 tries to use the game(s). When you use all three tries, simple run the batch file you just created and viola! The counter is reset and you can play again! You can do this as many times as you want! I made this because I needed more than 3 tries to decide if I really wanted the games. It works, and will help you decide if it's worth it to purchase. I did BTW, and so should you if you like them. Works with all mods and savegames. All the Softwrap trial versions are updated to the latest version release, so you will get the update animations for MPire for sure.
