Hey Dude, I'm very aware of all the new wonderful encoders out there yeehhaaa great stuff! The fact is that unless you Converttodvd, it aint gonna play on the Philips. You understand? I don't have time to convert everything. Also, the difference in quality isn't that great. Some of us don't have or care to own a PS3 or XBox. I will upgrade my DVDplayer at later date when this one dies. So THANKS BUT NO THANKS GRANPA .... you watch movies on your PC ? LAME

It took a while to find a set of English subs that matched (seems there are different versions of this film somehow, with a few added scenes or something. A director's cut, perhaps? I dunno) and then it was some doing to sync the set I found (different frame rates or whatnot had them close at the beginning but almost 5 min off by the end, so I had to stretch the time in SubRip), but I managed to get a file of English subs to match up to this video. I uploaded them it here j/c anyone else wants 'em.: http://www.opensubtitles.org/en/subtitles/3398064/dog-soldiers-en I just like to burn these to DVD w/ ConvertXtoDVD which lets me have the subs as an option I can turn on and off.

***** are you talking about fu dog? This is an H264 mp4, it plays on XBox or PS3 from a flashdrive or disc, or converts to DVD format much nicer than an AVI file would. If you want a conversion, I think there's a 1.4GB divx version available elsewhere. Personally, this is why I built my own media center PC... can play anything I throw at it and I'm not restricted to the hardware LG / Sony etc want to support.
