@TooSwede: This is version 2.0. Everything has been redone in 6.1, and some of the voice actors have even been replaced. And the animation should be better as well.

Thanks. I was waiting on this. The movie is from 95, this is a remake released last summer in the theaters. The Blu Ray has added stuff so I can see the 4GB size. I'm downloading now and will seed.

I had subtitles in some players, not in windows players, but they are there. Once again thanks for the upload. I really really enjoyed watching this. This is a great upload. Can't wait for the English version to come out.

Released in 2008. FROM WIKIPEDIA: The manga was first adapted into a theatrical anime film adaptation in 1995, entitled Ghost in the Shell, directed by Mamoru Oshii. The film was followed by a theatrical film sequel, Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence, produced in 2004, which was also directed by Oshii and places the character of Batou in the lead role. Both were based on storylines from the first manga. A third film, Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. Solid State Society, was created after the anime series and directed by Kenji Kamiyama, premiering on the SKY Perfect satellite television network on September 1, 2006. People should jsut quit messing around with codecs and Windows Media Player, god, its the worst media player ever created and doesn't support worth a shit. Get VLC, it plays everything without a problem and never cries about missing codecs or something.

It's funny how the uneducated viewers think Media Player Classic is windows media player and how VLC is the ultimate solution. Look it up folks. VLC is a great solution for mediocre performance. It's miles better than windows media player and works great for most. But if you want the most out of your video - try a more advanced player. There is really no comparison. VLC is a good home gym - mediocre at everything but very convenient. MPC is a fully equipped gym - if you know what you are doing you can get the best results. If you don't know what you are doing you can waste your time and/or hurt yourself.

For the Version 2.0, all the animations were re-produced with latest technologies such as 3D-CGI, and the soundtrack was also renewed. All the voices were re-recorded again. Notably, the voice actor of Puppet Master was changed from Iemasa Kayumi to Yoshiko Sakakibara. Some dialogs were changed from the original. Kenji Kawai remixed music with 6.1 Channel Surround and Randy Thom of Skywalker Sound joined as Sound Designer to improve the sound."

Basically, yes. Although 'all animations reproduced' is not quite correct. A few were remade, the others just changed a bit, like added some light effects, some bloom, color scheme changed, etc. The real improvement is the sound, most people still prefer the old video.

fantastic picture and audio but even with CoreAVC pro, some parts of the movie tend to 'skip' or subtitles are lagged and do not show up however, those moments were rare, and I'm just gonna blame my outdated computer for those faults great upload!
