<pre>Here's a collection of many good emulators for Windows PC's. The emulators are tested on XP sp2, XP sp3 and Vista, Vista sp1 and work all fine, no virusses or malware.
Emulators
Gens+
Gens+ is the Sega Genesis emulator.
HuGo
Hu-Go! Is the PCE/TurboGrafX emulator.
Known issues:
Hu-Go! wants to connect to a server. If you don’t want to or if the connection fails,right-click on the shortcut in the start-menu and choose properties. In the Goal-field, change hugod.exe to hugo.exe . You’ll skip the connection to the server and land immediately in the main screen.
Hu-Go! will not tell you which files he can open. Make sure you only open .pce- files else the program will crash.
NeoPop
NeoPop is the NeoGeo emulator.
Nestopia
Nestopia is the NES emulator
Project64
Project64 is the N64 emulator.
Good64 To use Good64, click on file > choose Rom directory. Browse to your roms directory.
Snes9x
Snes9x is the SNES emulator
VBAlink
VBAlink is the GBA emulator
Compatablilty with Windows Vista
All emulators will work with Windows Vista, but Aero will be disabled if you start an incompatible emulator. Aero-incompatible emulators are:
Gens+
HuGo
NeoPop
If an emulator will not work properly, right-click on the program and choose properties. Go to compatibility and tick the third and the fourth checkbox under settings. Click on OK and restart the emulator. This will solve most problems.
