  These are the best operatic songs (arias we could find that are done by Jose Carreras. We actually ordered "The very best of Jose Carreras" dual CD set to bring<br /> to you, however we determined that all the selections on the discs we re in fact from the operatic stage, and most were too esoteric to be of much appeal to those with even ecclectic tastes instead (within a range that is as we aim to appeal to those that enjoy what is essentially the "easy listening" genre).<br /> <br /> It is clear that Mr. Carreras does not impart the intensity in voice as does Placido Domingo or Luciano Pavarotti in doing the same numbers. That said, his style is more casual in his appeal and many admire him for it given their own preferences in the matter. <br /> <br /> <br /> Here are the best of his songs from the CDs I make reference to, and in addition, since they left out "E lucevan le stelle" (from Tosca by Puccini)(a sign of poor judgment to skip this great selection, if you ask me) we bring it to you from an alternate set to include for you here along with Nessun Dorma, Vesti la guibba, O Souverain and "The flower song" from Carmen. These are the songs from any lineup of Opera greats for the male voice and should always be included in any complete collection offering from the genre in my opinion certainly.<br /> <br /> <br /> Enjoy the great voice of Jose Carreras in our recent postings of easy listening music as he has some lovely stuff for you there especially, indeed.<br /> <br /> <br /> Michael Rizzo<br />
