Please help me. I've converted avi files no problem and then some avi files close down winavi.exe and was closed to 'help protect your computer Data Execution Prevention has closed WinAviexe'. What do I do? Simple words plse - I'm not a computer boffin. Otherwise, thanks to the uploader -the files I have converted are great!

Hi, got a problem and i hope someone can help. I am converting the torr with winavi 8.0 everything seems to go along fine but when i'm done the burning process either with the winavi burner program or any other such as DVD shrink or Nero, when i play the dvd in the player the vertical hold is rolling like a role-a-dex..lol, can anyone have any idea? thanks

OK, I entered this name and code from comments on other torrent: Name: Regnow Order Code: EBE95B780B867091C8F6D58FE5B65B9EBA6E8D9D2075F3A5 I installed it, but it says that a watermark will appear. Anyway, I think that as lonh as it works fine, I don't care about the watermark. Thank you!

Many seeders. Any comments? I have Dld it and run it sandboxed but only got so far til after extraction. Tempted to risk and run it in my other pc first (I'd rather get a virus there than on this new laptop) because I really like this program and I just have the portable one. Any comment will be highly appreciated.

Ok! Worked! Installing on my laptop now. Many thanks to the uploader! WinAVI probably, I say probably, is the fastest converter at a 5%/minute rate avi-dvd. The converter I've been using is at 2%/minute which amounts to a 50 minute avi-dvd conversion with a 700mb avi file. WinAVI is 20min(!) That's on my XP SP2 desktop. On my laptop (Vista), the WinAVI portable I just tried converts faster (as conversion speed is also processor related) at 13-14 minutes(!).

Also WinAVI has the batch conversion option, you can convert multiple files in a single session and you can choose if they will be separate DVDs or 1 DVD file with multiple titles, etc. It also has "Shutdown computer upon completion" option. Especially useful during nights. You can just set it and go to sleep. These features-- among many-- in a simple interface. Also it is lighter in system resources (ave. 50% CPU usage during convertions) than my previous converter (Aone) which hits 100%. I think very high CPU usage is the norm with most converters, but WinAVI is considerably lighter. For everyone's FYI.

Hopefully someone can help answer this question.... I have convertxtodvd and it takes about 2 hours from converting and burning all at once.... Is winavi converter better than the program that I have now? I like the background they give you and very easy to use for dvd options, does winavi have these same options? WinAvi Converter vs. ConvertXtoDVD?

Burndvds09 (@comment#5), It really takes long to convert any file to dvd, and ConvertX including Xilisoft's Dvd creator are time hoggers (2-3 hours! depending on quality settings chosen). The fastest would be to convert an avi file to dvd using Winavi (advance settings would be: constant output quality, medium, disable DVD authoring setting, encode mode by speed, audio setting any). That will take 15 to 20min depending on your processor. Then personally, after converting-- I believe Nero Recode is the fastest. That's what I use. Takes only about 12- 15 minutes to burn on dvd. Get the Nero Suite. Nero 9 is problematic. Use Nero 8.3.6.0. Total converting/burning time about 30min.

I just finished burning Underworld 1 & 2. WinAvi conversion time for both using the batch conversion option is 28 min (14 min each). and Nero Recode burning for both on one CD is 18min(!). Running on 2.0GHz Duo 3gb RAM Vista SP1. Total for burning the 2 movies is 46min! The quality is great, tested on LCD tv.

Definitely not a trial. Hey, it burns pretty quick too (a 2.5gb DVD file in over 10 minutes). Faster than Recode! Very good! What I haven't tried with it yet is burning multiple DVD titles into a single disc or converting an AVI file into DVD for USB flash drive use. Will check if it has that feature. Thanks again gothev.
