Also when the first three files are finished extracting, the installer says it cannot find the nine iw.iwd files, and then it just goes on extracting the arc files. This applies to everybody who is experiencing the problem "Cannot find gamefonts_pc.iwi" and other similar problems. This whole problem is caused by the files iw_14.iwd~iw_20.iwd and localized_english_iw00.iwd plus localized_english_iw01.iwd not being repacked properly during the automatic installation process. The game should be able to start if you manually create iw_14.iwd~iw_20.iwd and replace the files that are supposed to be in there. That is what I did, and the game seems to work so far. I'm on the first level. I have listed the instructions, READ THEM VERY CAREFULLY. 1. You should have roughly 10 Gigabytes of space allocated. 2. Create two separate folders. Folder A and Folder B. 3. Use install.exe to automatically extract the files into Folder A. Wait and let the entire process finish. 4. Manually extract the files: "main1.arc", "main2.arc", and "main3.arc" into Folder B. These three files can be found in kas-codwaw.R00. It can be opened with WinRAR. Next, find "~UnPack~.bat" and "Arc.dll" and manually extract them into the same folder. These two files can be found in kas-codwaw.RAR. 5. Launch "~UnPack~.bat" in Folder B and let it extract. You need to be watching for this process. As soon as the batch file has finished extracting "main3.arc", quit the installation. Go into the folder "main" in Folder B and you should find several folders named "iw_14.iwd" through to iw_20.iwd as well as "localized_english_iw00.iwd" plus "localized_english_iw01.iwd". 6. It starts to get a bit more complicated from here. Open Folder A. Go into the folder "main". Make 9 copies of the file "iw_00.iwd". Rename each copy as "iw_14.iwd", "iw_15.iwd", "iw_16.iwd" and so forth all the way to "iw_20.iwd". Next you have 2 more copies left. Rename these copies "localized_english_iw00.iwd" and "localized_english_iw_01.iwd". Remember, when renaming the files, don't include the brackets. 7. Open the .iwd files you just renamed with WinRAR. Then replace the files in them with the files in the folders with the corresponding name in Folder B. For example, if I open iw_14.iwd, I'll look for the folder with the same name in Folder B and add those files to iw_14.iwd in WinRAR. Note - don't delete all the files in the .iwd files at once, as this well delete the .iwd file itself. Keep at least one item in the .iwd so that it doesn't delete itself. Delete that item once you get the other files in there. 8. Now launch CoDWaW.exe. For most of you who are experiencing the described problems above, the first thing you'll probably see is "Cannot find gamefonts_pc.iwi" or something like that. Go to Folder B and use the Windows Search function to find gamefonts_pc.iwi. It should be in there if you did everything correctly. Copy gamefonts_pc.iwi into iw_03.iwd into the "images" folder in Folder A. The files in the .iwd archives are arranged in alphabetical order so you'll know which ones to put it in. 9. Now launch CoDWaW.exe again. It might tell you something else is missing. For me, it said "loadscreen_sp_ber3b.iwi" cannot be found. Do the same as above, look in Folder B with Windows Search for "loadscreen_sp_ber3b.iwi" and find the correct .iwd archive in Folder A and stick it in there. Remember, the files in the .iwd archives are arranged in alphabetical order. 10. After you repeat this process a couple times Call of Duty should have all the files in the right place needed for it to run. Once you get in the game, you need to manually set all of the controls as they are all unbound. 11. Keep the Files in Folder B handy as you never know when another file will be in the wrong place. So that's about it. Feel free to ask me questions if you have any. Gansuk, thank you for the upload, I appreciate having to download only 2+ gigabytes to play this game, as opposed to 5 or 6 gigabytes. My bandwidth is precious. However the installation was pretty arduous. I sincerely hope you continue to upload more low-volume trouble-free torrents. Cheers :)

But now i have another problem :P I am at the eight instruction and now I've just copied the gamfonts... ile to the image map in iw_03.iwd file. I copied iw_03.iwd to "A" and started CODWAW.exe again. Black screen... I don't know which file is missing because there is a black screen without any information..! Frustratring!! You're not supposed to copy it to iw03.iwd in Folder B and then copy that to Folder A. If you a going to claim that it is for XP you should make sure it really does work on XP first!!! Do not tell me to unpack on vista and copy onto Xp (I mean do I look stupid to you!), come on Vista is a bag of ****e!!!! By the way anyone using XP Pro Sp3 be aware it may prevent punkbuster drvers from installing into system 32( had this with my own version of BF2 and others experienced same), plus I have other problems with it of a similar nature. I would recomend XP Pro Sp2, its the best available main stream operating system.

But now, the setup.bat really works!! It unpacked and stuff. I really don't know what the reason for it to be working this time but the last thing I did was I uninstalled my KASPERSKY anti-virus and replaced it with AVAST. for some reason the setup.bat unpacked the files after that. Why don't you guys try exiting kaspersky or any other anti virus programs before runneing the setup.bat.. works for me though

Dec 04 2008 at 22:28 by 0PHAZE0 (mininova.org)if kaospak.exe gets nailed by your av the game wont rebuild. kaospak.exe is the archiver to rebuild the game files, think theres only bitdefender and another what gets this false result, if so.. get yourself some decent antivirus software. or turn the av off untill the game rebuilds, do a full scan afterwards if you dont trust the file. hopefully this should help alot of you out

I followed the instructions on #166, and I changed the audio settings to 24 bits, 48000 Hz... (I got them on 192000Hz before, I think that was too much for the game...) I run it in Vista, Direct X10... Realtek audio driver... So for those who had this same problem, try changing your audio settings... Thanks for the upload!

Heres the solution to the problem everyone is having with it crashing when it checks (online) profiles Make a batch file somewhere and put this in it: X: cd\games\Callof~1 start CoDWaWmp.exe ipconfig /release ping -n 5 localhost ipconfig /renew replace X: with your drive letter for exaple c: replace cd\games\Callof~1 with your games folder (note if it's more the 8 characters then you'll need to type the first 6 then ~1 hence Callof~1) save this file as <anything>.bat (If you're about to ask: "I can't put < or > in a filename", then you're an idiot) and you're good to go. First, thanks Then, why did you put a trojan horse inside that thing, dont you think, we really need this, sincerly. I have a bug, after I tried installing it 3 times in a row. What I noticed is that, if I flush the file name codepak... or something like that, the same file witch, misteriously, contains the trojan horse,. Many files in the repertory stay in a wierd format. So, for anyone who wanted this game..., go and buy it, you'll warn time, espacially in the upcomming holidays. Personally, i'd rather have a fonctionnal computer than trying to install your files with the trojan horse inside. What do you think men? Have merry christmas everyone

On my Vista laptop I right clicked on the codwaw icon in the game folder then selected run as administrator. The game then began and worked perfectly. If you require multiplayer select the icon codwawmp, right click it then select run as administrator. I hope that helps out anybody who was having the same problems as me.

Runs so well too just with a 8600gts with 2gb ram and a dual core, bought this for my 360 first and was surprised it looked so much better on PC...this is one hell of a game everyone! Ands thanks to Kaos, the only version like this that fully works as far as I know!? Remember like toryengland says in vista either diable uac in control panel or run everything as admin (right click)

Dec 28 2008 at 12:34 by dladz (mininova.org)Ok lads i clicked on the install after downloading and its unpacking and installing perfectly but avast has found a trojan virus/worm not sure if its a false pos or not, could hte uploader shed any light on this please as i dont like warnings from my antivirus of any kind, game still looks good to work though, hell of a lot of unpacking mind you, oh and im running vista ult on AMD ath 64 3700+, 1.5g ram, and 8800gs 384m ram with dx10. i'll let you know if it runs on my rig, should doand i know ive installed by the numbers too, not sure why the uploader would leave the music out for the sake of 700mb??? doesnt make sense to me that not when hes shaved 4.5g off the actual rip size??? very strange and not needed. Anyway good rip up to now, will let you know about the game when i / if i get it running. ;-)

However , all u need to do is port forward your router, disable your firewall, and set your hamachi network driver to main. Good luck

Disable your anti-virus (If not it can mistake the batchprogram as a virus and the game wont be installed correctly. 2. Install the game (exe or bat). 3. Play it. Their are NO virus or trojans in it, your AV scanner just picking up programs that 'might look' like their a trojan. No worries its just a clean installer. I even downloaded and installed the missing dll file. I still let it go through and after all that, it still didn't work, due to missing files. I have no intention of disabling AVG because I trust it, or trying any other ideas to install it because I think it's garbage. I highly recomend you don't waste your time with it.

Jan 02 2009 at 04:59 by joarc (mininova.org)Totally worth it. 1. disconnect internet 2. disable antivirus 3. unrar kas-codwaw files 1 to 29 to a new folder 4. copy over the d3drm, Install and KaOs instructions to the new folder too 5. from within the new folder you'll see the unrar'd files 6. double click on the ~UnPack~ AND THEN WAIT PATIENTLY 7. close the dos window when it's done (and you'll know it's done because it will tell you to run the exe!!) 8. back at the new folder find CoDWaW (this is the single player exe) 9. double click it to play!! You might get an error message, search here for the friggin fix and then you are good to go!! Had to update my directx (missing dll) on one computer but had no errors on the other 3. NOTE still can't get coop/multi working because of the duplicate key issue but I bet there's a fix for that too!! Thanx again KaOs & uploader!!! ... Vista Home Premium, Spider Platform.

Jan 04 2009 at 13:07 by 0PHAZE0 (mininova.org)@danijelg, im guessing you cant read up, or cant read full stop, let me remind u what it says "Turn protection status off wile installing", (just do a full scan after the game is installed if you do not trust the file) iv been told the exe gets killed due to the packer KaOs used on it to try and stop tampering, they will change this method in future releases. worked fine once i read everything (a full scan after installing found nothing at all)

However you know the place u saved the files in, in the beginning u save the game in a map. Just go to that map and click on the game icon (exe file) but ofc you have to download the game first before to do that. i saved mine in perflogs, dont know why actually, but u cant move the game or any files of the game to another place. You need to have every files of the game in the same map. If not, it wont work. Because i tried to move it, but then i got an error, so thats the only error thing i know about.

Then started ~UnPack~.bat. After a very long time, I'm talking 30-40 minutes, it was done, I'm certain it installed everything this time, unlike the other times where I didn't get most files. I updated my direct x with the dxwebinstaller.exe then downloaded the d3dx9_37.dll and placed in the directory. After all this, I still get the damn error.

The only way i know to acssess the mods are via console commands but it doesnt work. I type in "map nazi_zombie_fruchurch" which is supposed to work but it doesnt. Any ideas? The only reason i wanted Cod Waw on the pc is cos it has all the custom zombie maps, and i already have a copy of waw on the ps3.

Why waste your time..... Don't download it doesn't work, i have installed many games and i know the drill when trying to get a cracked game to work and have tried many things, still not working, just take a look at all the coments here from people saying the game won't start. Don't waste your time downloading this like i did and download the bigger one from reloaded (or whoever) that one works ok. And people don't post specs about your pc, it doesn't mater what specs you have if the game won't start and no one cares about your specs if you are just trying to big up yourself

May 09 2009 at 15:18 by down-lode (mininova.org)k fix found create 2 folders A and B then install the hole cod in A and intall only uptill main arc3 in B afta that, for those missing gamefont, search gamefont in folder B via windows search, then put it in iw-03 then afta that for people for which it still don work simply keep searhing the the file which the error shows in B and then put it in the respected iw file eg gamefont goes in iw 03 which contains data from f to h alphabetical order

Here is how I have done it on my system (XP), step by step : First, be sure to have the latest version of Direct X (ie 9.c of March 2009) or you will not be able to run the game (black screen, message with xxx.ddl missing,...). May 15 2009 at 18:05 by cloclo13 (mininova.org)- Then, if you are sure you have the latest Direct X (or once you have installed it),open the dowloaded file: "Call.Of.Duty.5.World.At.War.FULLRip-KaOs" (obvious I know but ...) - Be sure to have disabled your anti-virus (even if some reported it above, there is no virus in the game, trust me as the more than 80+ of thanks people) - Double click on the "black star logo" named "Instal" (take note of where the unpacked file to be created will be located). - Then just wait. Even if it seems to be stuck, wait. And after a long while (take me more than one hour) you should have now a new file named "CODWAW-KaOs" - open it and then double click on the "CoDWaW" black logo, (which is by the way the CODWAW.exe for those whose computer doesn't display the "known extension file" - Then game should start. Don't worry about having the " no punkbuster" or "no MP", get over it (click no) and you should now have access to the game menu.

I have same problem and having the same discussion on piratbay lol only files that extract are: iw_14.iwd till iw_20.iwd and localizalized english iw01, iw02 and iw03 + an empty video folder.. file that is not unpacked: zone.arc for some misterious reason it just skips unpacking this and then deletes the file

I just extracted main arc right now and my main folder already contains: iw00_iwd till iw10_iwd and there are videos in the video folder! Could it be that it just doesnt work on xp? What system you have NitrOx1?

The files iw_00.iwd till iw_13.iwd were missing.. but now that Im unpacking on vista theyre all there. Im going to try to unpack the whole game on my vista laptop and then just copy paste the game folder when its done.. Old school but maybe itll work haha

I was able to unrar and install the game but I noticed there were a few files it couldn't find while it was installing. I finally finished the installation process, but when I try to start it it crashes. Something about not finding a particular font. I don't have the exact message because I decided to just delete the game. I just wanted to mention this potential virus that was reported.
