I don't want to get in the middle of your argument, but I'll offer my view: I highly doubt this kind of small documentary would reach audiences world-wide, unless people spread it through P2P. Especially when that DVD is Region 1. So even if it would seem unethical first hand, you have to think about the fact that people tell about this documentary to other people etc etc. The director's name becomes more well known, he'll get more publicity, perhaps job opportunities and so on and so on... I think I'm a living example that this is exactly how formerly underground stuff become global phenomenas. I didn't pratically know anything about MMA except I had heard the name "Vale Tudo" once or twice. I thought jiu-jitsu was some kind of ninja-crap that had no practical applicability. In just a few years my eyes have opened and I've found a sport that gets me up in the morning to go and run, do heavy bag workouts and sparring. And, it's also extremely interesting to watch also, especially since the sport is still evolving.

Big Movie studios or the little man making indy Docus full of blood sweat and tears. If you (@Jitsu101) have ever illegally downloaded ANYTHING your just as guilty and have no room to talk lest you look a hypocrite. Dont be hypocritical in your standpoint. You should write to Dana and FEG and K1 too as aren't they part of MMA too or is it just the fact you wanted to namedrop Renzo somehow and look important. And for the comment that downloads circulate the film and garner it more sales this is true. I dl=ownloaded Fighter with Randy Couture and after watching it bought it. If I hadn't got it illegally then I would probably never have heard of it. I once spoke to someone who was the cousin of the taxi driver who took Michael Bispings Wifes sisters nieces grandma to her orthodontist appointment. Go me!!!
