srpk: yes it is a livecd, you have to burn it to a disc and then reboot your computer with it in the cd/dvd-rom.

Yo can anyone help me here, I once downloaded the DVD version from the Ubuntu website, but when I chose "Install Ubuntu", A sliding bar thing came up and it just freezes and there is no HD activity and no CD Drive activity.

#20 this is a free OS. This means you don't need any serial or cdkey or cracks or keygens in order to get it work. Just download it and burn it, put it in the slot, then run it. It works straight out of the box. Got it? If not, check out ubuntu.com
