<pre>Reloaded After an early Issue~ Please disregard! Thanks! Windows Fundementals For Legacy PCs with Service Pack 2 (PLUS XP as addon Service Pack 3 v5512 and Themes) (WINDOWS XP FLP) WITH KEY! BOOTABLE! |ENGLISH (EXTRACT ALL files, with Zip Decompresser, such as WinZip and WinRAR) ~PCFORUM89~ THE Computer & Technology forum, PIRACY IN YOUR COMMAND http://www.ctforumgroup.com THE KEY is INSIDE THE READ FIRST SERVICE PACK 3 NOT Integrated, due to i386 files NOT containing all XP Files, you must install manually, which its included ;-) ~About~ Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PCs ("WinFLP") is a thin client operating system from Microsoft, based on Windows XP Embedded, but optimized for older, less powerful hardware. It was released on 8 July 2006. Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PCs is not a full-fledged general purpose operating system. It includes only certain functionality for local workloads such as security, management, document viewing related tasks and the .NET Framework. It is designed to work as a client-server solution with RDP clients or other third party clients such as Citrix ICA. ~History~ WinFLP was originally announced with codenames "Eiger" and "Mönch" (names of mountains in the Swiss Alps) in mid-2005. The RTM version of Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PCs was released on 8 July 2006. ~Features~ Microsoft positions WinFLP as an operating system that provides basic computing services on older hardware, while still providing core management features of more recent Windows releases, such as Windows Firewall, Group Policy, Automatic Updates, and other management services. However, it is not considered to be a general-purpose OS by Microsoft. Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PCs is a Windows XP Embedded derivative and, as such, is optimized for legacy PCs. It requires significantly fewer system resources than the fully-featured Windows XP. WinFLP supports most Windows XP/2000 applications and drivers. It also features basic networking, extended peripheral support, DirectX, and the ability to launch the remote desktop clients from compact discs. In addition, WinFLP offers support for local applications, as well as those hosted on a remote server using Remote Desktop. It can be installed on a local hard drive, or configured to run on a diskless workstation. The installer for WinFLP uses the Windows XP bootscreen. ~Advantages~ In addition to giving better performance on older machines, the reduced number of files increases boot speed, and the reduced number of services also improves security, and responsiveness. People with old hardware unable to run an updated version of Windows XP usefully (and who therefore have been using an un-updated version of Windows) have the opportunity to use Windows without the security issues which come with using an operating system without the latest security fixes. ~Issues and Limitation~ Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PC&#039;s, as the name suggests, has a smaller feature set than a full Windows XP install. For example, some software, such as Outlook Express, is unavailable, even with a full install. Some system tools are also excluded from WinFLP, however, these utilities are rarely used by end users, and are generally replaceable with free tools (or potentially with files from a full XP install). In addition, the operating system does not include full support for terminal-based connections. ~Service Pack 3~ Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) was released to manufacturing on 21 April 2008(For FLP/Embedded October 7th, 2008) and to the public via both the Microsoft Download Center and Windows Update on 6 May 2008. It began being automatically pushed out to Automatic Update users on 10 July 2008. A feature set overview which details new features available separately as standalone updates to Windows XP, as well as backported features from Windows Vista has been posted by Microsoft. A total of 1,174 fixes have been included in SP3. Service Pack 3 can be installed on systems with Internet Explorer versions 6 or 7, and Windows Media Player versions 9 and above. Internet Explorer 7 is not included as part of SP3. New features * Turns black hole router detection on by default * Network Access Protection client * Windows Imaging Component * Credentials Security Service Provider * Descriptive Security options in Group Policy/Local Security Policy user interface * An updated version of the Microsoft Kernel Mode Cryptographic Module that is FIPS 140-2 certified * Installing without requiring a product key during setup for retail and OEM versions Slipstreamed retail and OEM versions of Windows XP with SP3 can be installed and run with full functionality for 30 days without a product key, after which time the user will be prompted to enter a valid key and activate the installation. Volume license key (VLK) versions still require entering a product key before beginning installation. Although service packs have, until now, been cumulative, installing SP3 on an existing installation of Windows XP requires that the computer must at least be running with Service Pack 1 installed. However, it is possible to slipstream SP3 into the Windows XP setup files at any service pack levelincluding the original RTM versionwithout any errors or issues.[52] Slipstreaming SP3 into Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 is not supported.[53] Service Pack 3 does contain updates to the operating system components of Windows XP Media Center Edition (MCE) and Windows XP Tablet PC Edition, and security updates for .NET Framework version 1.0, which is included in these Windows XP SKUs. However, it does not include update rollups for the Windows Media Center application in Windows XP MCE 2005.[54] SP3 also omits security updates for Windows Media Player 10, although the player is included in Windows XP MCE 2005. The Address Bar DeskBand on the Taskbar is no longer included due to legal restrictions. Problems For computers with local hard drive size limitations (such as the Eee PC) the 1 GB of space required on the local hard drive during download and installation of the service pack is preventing installation and forcing unlimited downloading by the automatic updates, as the service pack is continuously redownloaded after each unsuccessful attempt. A workaround for this has been found, which involves downloading SP3 from the Microsoft download site and installing from an external drive. Then moving the ServicePackFiles folder to another drive and using Regedit to edit the Service Pack Source Path in the registry.[57] ~System Requirements~ Minimum Processor- 233 MHz Pentium class processor or highe RAM- 64MB Free Hard Drive Space- 610MB Display- 800 X 600 or Hider Display resolution Recommended: Processor- 300 MHz Pentium class processor or highe RAM- 128MB Free Hard Drive Space- 1GB Display- 800 X 600 or Hider Display resolution ________________________________________ QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS?
