So... Even though it is PAL, I ought to be able to play this in my Sylvania Region-1 "Only" DVD/DivX player? I've tried taking the video content from PAL films and using IFOEdit and VOBedit with Imgburn to try to convert the disk format to NTSC... Also, there is a function in DVDshrink where you are supposed to be able to change to region free or region 1. I don't know why they did it, but Sylvania made this player, which is a kick ass player, plays both regular DivX and Xvid- It does not play Video CD's or SuperVideo CDs or DVDs that re not specifically Region 1. So I guess I will have to watch this on my PC which is plugged in the the Big Screen. I wish I had a remote control for the PC! I'll tell you what I think of the print after I get it downloaded and burnt.

Yes, it SHOULD be playable on all DVD players, including the Region 1. That is, If your DVD player supports the display of PAL format DVD's. All I mean is that the Region code was removed before compiling the ISO, so it shouldn't matter which region your DVD-player accepts. If you can watch burned DVD's, and support PAL format Video, then all you have to do is burn the ISO (Select Disc-At-Once mode in the advanced options panel for the less skillful readers) And put the newly created disc in your player.

Nope... I had to watch this on my PC, my connection to the HDTV goes up to 1440p through the HDMI cable... But the signal is what, 480p? 720p? I am not familiar with these resolutions- I don't know how much compression is on the Video, but it is not all jagged like DVD Shrink, it is Smooth. It is a great copy, you used AnyDVD? I tried re-writing it through DVD Shrink, Adding Region 1, but it did not work... When I stick the DVD in the drive, instead of playing, I get a message telling me that "Playback has been Disabled" I used to have a Cyberhome DVD player I got from Radio Shack that could play any region, any format... But it stopped working after 1 year... Under my warranty, they gave me an Aspire DVD player and that one could also play any region. After 3 years the Laser burned out- No Warranty. I bought this Sylvania, and I did not notice until I got home that it was a DivX and XviD player- And the DVD player says "Region 1" So, I gained two functions, but I lost another two... I used to be able to view VCDs and SVCDs. I guess it was a fair trade... And I can still view any PAL DVDs through my PC. Man, what an asskicker Moovie! The Copy is pretty smooth, and I watched it two times in a row last night... MANY THANX for putting up this torrent... Thanx a lot!

Ahh, I Guess the problem is your DVD player does not support PAL video. Have you tried re-encoding it in NTSC with Region1? Also, it could be your DVD player can distinguish a burned DVD from an Original... In that case: nothing you can do about. Yes, I used AnyDVD to remove the region coding, and to remove other restrictions, like not being able to make snapshots in PowerDVD, stuff like that. I don't have a clue about the pixel ratio though, I just know it's the standard PAL format... I though it was 756 x 512 or something like that. Then I Use CloneDVD2 to make it fit on a regular DVD-R. Your welcome! I just thought since it's been only a few days for rental released here in Europe to give back to the community that serves me about 90% of all my downloads.
