With wide ranging musical influences from Ella Fitzgerald, Billie
Holiday, and Marvin Gay, to D'Angelo, Jill Scott and Joss Stone, Leigh
Jones has managed to carve out a niche in the extremely competitive
world of the music business. Her debut album on Peak Records entitled
“Music In My Soul” is a definitive statement from this dynamic, new
artist. Very personal in nature, this album features the unique song
styling that is sultry, sexy and insightful. Her rich, soulful style
mixed with jazz and R & B influences create a distinct retro sound
throughout the album.

Born and raised in North Hollywood, Leigh was introduced to music at a
very early age. According to Leigh, “My dad taught voice lessons as well
as being a studio singer singing backup for Frank Sinatra and Natalie
Cole, among many others. My mother told me, I would hum along with the
scales which I could hear in the next room and would sing myself to
sleep. This was all before I was able to talk”. She performed in every
amateur talent show she could find. Known as "the little white girl
with the big soulful voice," she was enrolled in the L.A. County High
School for the Arts, a performing arts school located in the heart of
Los Angeles. She’s never looked back since than as she embarked on her
musical journey.

According to Kerry Gordy, her manager and producer, "In my initial
meeting with Leigh, she was so cool, intelligent, attractive and
talented, that I felt excited and privileged to have the opportunity to
be involved with someone I believed could make a significant impact in
the music industry. Her qualifications have far surpassed my
expectations."
