Janet Damita Jo Jackson [born May 16th 1966 in Gary, Indiana, U.S.A.], better known as Janet Jackson or simply Janet, is an American pop star, dancer, and had been a child actress. Jackson is one of the top ten selling artists in the history of contemporary music, ranked by Billboard magazine as the ninth most successful act in rock and roll history, and the second most successful female artist in pop music history, selling over 100 million albums worldwide. The Guinness World Records lists her as the world's most searched-for person in Internet history. Since 1986, Jackson has scored thirty-one number-one singles on various Billboard charts, and is the only recording artist ever to score five or more top ten singles from three consecutive albums. In addition to her commercial accomplishments, Jackson has won five Grammy Awards, received a nomination at the 66th Academy Awards, and had a star placed on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1990. Recently, she was placed on Forbes Top 10 Richest Women in Entertainment list. She has also had eighteen top ten singles in Europe.<br />

Discipline is the tenth studio album [first on her new label] from American pop/R&B singer Janet Jackson, released on February 26th 2008 and by Island Records in the US. Jackson has been working with producers such as Rodney Jerkins [who produced the lead single with D'Mile], Jermaine Dupri, Ne-Yo, Shea Taylor, Stargate, Johnta Austin, Tricky Stewart and The-Dream. The album was executive produced by Island Urban president Jermaine Dupri and Jackson herself. It's her first album since 1986's Control not to be produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. The album's first single 'Feedback', produced by Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins and D'Mile, was released as a digital download on December 26th 2007 and was released to radio on January 7th 2008.<br />
