The album introduced a new composing style of Blackie that he has followed till today: dark, angry, moody, with lyrics of a deeper purpose. Highly political, criticism against society and religion etc. I would dare to say, no matter how much I love W.A.S.P.'s early party albums, when Blackie REALLY started to compose music is around this album. Blackie has said &quot;When I'm on a bitch trip, I'm at my best&quot;. You can hear the difference in songs like &quot;The Heretic&quot;, &quot;Headless Children&quot; or &quot;Thunderhead&quot;. But not to worry, there are still those highly rockin' tracks like &quot;Mean Man&quot; and &quot;Rebel in the F.D.G.&quot; that will kick your balls like before. Very remarkable piece of music from W.A.S.P. in the time when metal scene began to show its wear.<br /> <br /> Standout tracks: Hmm, tough call. Let's say &quot;Thunderhead&quot; and &quot;Maneater&quot;.<br /> <br /> Sidenote: The song &quot;Mean Man&quot; is about Chris Holmes, because Blackie really thinks he is such a meanie. The single cover has Chris sitting on a motorcycle (or what's left of it) with a crazy grin on his face.<br /> <br /> Remastered version with six bonus tracks: &quot;Locomotive Breath&quot; a Jethro Tull cover, &quot;For Whom the Bell Tolls&quot; a single B-side, &quot;Lake of Fools&quot; a single B-side, &quot;War Cry&quot; a single B-side, &quot;L.O.V.E.
